micro stutters - ATC window

Post by maca12 »

Hello,

I am trying to optimize my set-up as long as I have p3d. With current version 5.1 it is quite OK (lots of add-ons etx..), however, still time to time some microstutters which is anoying me....

Today I realize that I face a little microstutter always when I open or close ATC window....
Any similar experience ? Any possible solution (size of the window seems has no impact.... neither content of communication, just opening and closing it itself.....)

Any idea or confirmations ?

many thanks !

A little adjustment.... actually it happens with opening/closing any extra 'window'... ATC, or with PMDG737 any cockpit control like e.g. PFD, FMS etx.....

The same problem, especially when there are more AI machines, ATC will stutter every time it issues an order.

OK, I guess there is no super tweak that could help..... (size of the window, etc...)

Using Ezdok or Chaseplane?

With default aircraft?

No EZDOK and CHASEPLANE... problem is with all aircraft. More visible with PMDG737

@ maca12 ,

You previously reported the micro stutters problem in this topic:
Re: Constant microstutters with good FPS in V5

But this time it is presenting in a new way, correct?

Stutters your simulation OR flickers your screen? That is a difference.

In my case my screen flickers (in VR) when calling a pop up window, regardless which one (ATC, GSX, ASP3D) but my simulation runs smooth (which is visualized by my Frametimecounter which comes with Steam VR)!

That´s why I am asking.

You could provide us with a video and show us your issue. Simple solution would be to record your screen via mobile device and upload this to youtube and provide a link here.

I am sorry for you. But I dont have a stutter at all. Since many versions no stutter when opening windows or popups.
So the problem is probably not necessary P3D. As we use the same product version but different setup. Marcus

Markus it has been confirmed by many people and developers too , Html menu gets stuck simconnect menu gives stutters on gsx , Opening atc pannel causes a mini stutters when loaded ( no stutters its just a one hit ) maybe you are using vr and not a normal screen ? https://ibb.co/gF0dG0v

Î have to correct my previous post.

In VR I don´t have these stutters, or at least, if they are there I don´t see them visually and no spikes in my frametimes.

On my 2D screen it is noticeable yes. I saw that regardless which popup panels you open, they create each single time they opened a one time "very short freeze" of the whole display image and then rendering proceeds.

Although I never said you can not have these (I just said I don´t have these) this was not correct.

I do indeed hope LM will take a look at it. Because I can imagine that every time a panel pops up, the very short screen freeze is really irritating.

Thanks to you all for reporting here and for your patience too!
