No clouds in v5 HF2

Post by nathantw »

I installed v5.1HF2 and it's raining in YSSY. With EA off it's cloudy and raining. I turned EA on and the sun is blazing down on me without a cloud in the sky. This happens in all other places too.

I have just had the same thing coming into EGPF .... No clouds with EA on but turn it off and there' are clouds, me and a mate compared pics on the way , both using Active sky .. i got half way and the clouds stopped displaying while in his pics you can see Clouds .. Only difference was EA was on for me, but he had his turned off .

@ nathantw ,

Are you using a weather program?

@ nathantw ,

You mentioned:
"I installed v5.1HF2 and it's raining in YSSY. With EA off it's cloudy and raining."

How did you do that?

Rex Skyforce brought in the weather, as you probably guessed. When I turned EA off in the general settings there were clouds and rain. Clicking on the EA box all that rain and cloud goodness disappeared and I was left with sunny, clear skies.

@ nathantw ,

I do not use Skyforce and know nothing about it.

In your situation what should have happened?

Is you situation repeatable?

Without Skyforce on an EA (On) only flight is EA working?

I was running two layers, or at least tried to. One layer of cumulus and one layer of cirrus. The cumulus worked fine, the cirrus did not show up...

Rebuilding the volumetric clouds. fcg did not help

Just to verify, are you using P3Dv5HF2 (topic title) or P3Dv5.1 HF1?

In my case, I messed up the title of the subject. In other words, I screwed the pooch. It should have read "V5.1 HF1."

Hello everyone.
The same thing happens to me. If I connect EA, the clouds, rain or snow disappear. If I disconnect EA, everything looks as reported by the METAR of the airport where I am.
I use ActiveSky P3D RC3.
Can someone provide some kind of solution?
Thanks and best regards.

@ Joetsa ,

Did you load a flight plan into Active Sky (P3Dv5.1 HF1)?
