The same thing happens to me. If I connect EA, the clouds, rain or snow disappear. If I disconnect EA, everything looks as reported by the METAR of the airport where I am.
I use ActiveSky P3D RC3.
Can someone provide some kind of solution?
Thanks and best regards.
@ Joetsa ,

Did you load a flight plan into Active Sky (P3Dv5.1 HF1)?
Hello! How are you?

When I go to make a flight, if I charge it. But yesterday I was doing tests in different airports, without loading flight plans, and in neither way it worked.
Thanks and best regards.

@ Joetsa ,

If you list the steps to create the problem I (and other pilots also) could do the same test.
Screenshots or a video would be helpful.

@ remcosol ,

Not enough information to do a test.
I was running two layers, or at least tried to. One layer of cumulus and one layer of cirrus. The cumulus worked fine, the cirrus did not show up...

Rebuilding the volumetric clouds. fcg did not help
@ remcosol ,

Just to verify, are you using P3Dv5HF2 (topic title) or P3Dv5.1 HF1?

I hope these photographs serve to illustrate the problem.

I'm testing it both ways, with and without a flight plan, and there is no difference.

Hello,

I have the same problem with P3DV5.2, I am using ActivSky OpenBeta Ver. 7829.

For example in Miami the METAR currently gives 3 cloud layers with a nice CB in formation, with EA activated there is only a rather flat cloud layer, without EA I have real clouds.

Does anyone have the same problem? or managed to resolve this problem?

I'm not sure why I never tried this before but if you have Rex or AS leave EA on but turn the Cloud Resolution slider to off. You'll see clouds galore. They just won't be the specialized ones that EA offers that sometimes shows up and other times not.
