PD3v4 Wont Launch

Postby nohey1 » Thu Dec 05, 2019 7:25 pm

Hi guys,

I have just bought and downloaded P3Dv4 today. I have tried several times with several downloads to boot from the desktop (tried as admin too) and the splash screen pops up and then shuts off without launching P3D proper. It doesn't give an event on windows 10 and doesn't even register on Task Manager when booting. Drivers and windows updates all up to date, only recently did a brand new reinstall of windows for a new graphics card.

I've not even got as far as typing in my licence details. Ive tried deleting cfg files without any success. Downloading it several times without any anti virus on and done, i think, most of the suggested work arounds on the forum without any change.

Any ideas would go a long way. Thanks.

Hello nohey1,

Have you tried checking the md5 checksums to ensure they match those listed on our downloads page? You can review this post for more detailed information on downloading/checking the checksums:

www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6313&t=126465

Make sure you are running the installer as an administrator. If you verify that the download worked properly and the install isn't working you should follow this guide:

Regards,
