Taxi and Landing lights are weak

Post by Maverick24 »

Hello,

could someone please help me with this strange thing?

after an update P3Dv4 to a latest version I noticed that night flying is impossible, because aircraft taxi and landing lights are nearly invisible. Or mainly the taxi lights, but I think landing lights should be a little stronger either. I tried everything I find on forums: set MOON_PHASE_LIGHTING=0 or to false, set MAX_POINT_LIGHTS=800 MAX_SPOT_LIGHTS=700 (from 250), tried play with dynamic light, lens flare and cloud cast and nothing works.

Same situation with default Mooney, or Milviz cessna 310R or F1 B200. Example:

Milviz cessna taxi lights OFF:

https://prnt.sc/mjmzu3

Milviz cessna taxi light ON:

https://prnt.sc/mjn096

Sorry for the colours, but is the best I can do with a lightshot. I think the difference is noticable.

Can someone please help me with this?

Thank you

Which P3D version 4.xxxx are you using?

This is the Flight One B200 with dynamic lighting on (enabled).
No problem with night flying.

My P3D version 4.4.16.27077

You can go here
https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/5502 ... nt-3971302
or here
http://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f ... c1f47f0d87
to see the difference between other users or other airplanes.

ORBX KHQM taxi lights off:
https://prnt.sc/mlxt9o

ORBX KHQM taxi lights on:
https://prnt.sc/mlxtpx

Yes something is visible, but I think it is very weak. Definitely less than in a past:

In my link to avsim forum you can see the carenado lights which is more bright. The other thing is, lights iluminate other object perfectly bright, but not the ground.

Can you tell me what is wrong? I have B200 for more than a year without this weak lights problem and after last P3D update I see this.

My point is a huge difference between lights in last P3D version according to older versions.

Thanks

Jiri
