DXGI error -what does it mean?

Postby barrykensett » Sat Dec 29, 2018 9:30 am

I run a home cockpit and the graphics are four displays driven by 2 NVidia cards. I have been running for a few years but recently I am getting the following error message :
“This device (NVidia GeForce GTX 970) stopped working for the following reason DXGI-ERROR-DEVICE-REMOVED Do you wish to exit Prepar3D.”
Whatever is selected from the options the sim crashes. Can anyone give me a clue as to what to look for to track this problem down?
