They are fireworks displays over Major cities in V2.X

I have only seen this before in Fly Tampa's VHHX.

Anyway, How do you turn them off?

I actually quite like them but they are there all the time!

In the middle of the day all day.

That's not right.

It would be better if they only occurred at night

on specific dates like midnight on New Years eve.

10pm on the 4th of July in the USA, 10PM local time on Canada

in Vancouver, Toronto Etc Etc.

But that's not case. How do I disable the Fireworks shows?

Thanks

Special effects should disable fireworks but its a double edged knife as it will disable other effects also.

Saul.

I have disabled the fireworks, which caused my framerates to drop massively. Go to the effects folder and rename FW_Controller.fx to FW_Controller.f_ Voila.

Great discovery !!

I searched without success the source of fireworks into the sceneries of London and New York, as they kill the already low frame rate in that cities.

I didn't think to a default effect.

Thanks a lot for this information, now I can land at EGLC with a reasonable fps.
