If it doesn't happen without FSUIPC, then next time can you try with FSUIPC installed, but make sure ALL of the weather-related options are off. I found and fixed what I thought should be the only possible cause in 4.947d, but I'm worried that L-M have changed more of the Weather structures than I have discovered.

At the extreme you can change "WeatherReadFactor" to 0 in the INI file to stop FSUIPC dealing with the weather altogether.

Hi Pete goodmorning ,

Thanks for your advice , will try this next time ., now just 40 min in the air ,

Btw , i think it has northing to do with FSUIPC , there are a few people including myself who get this error after 2-3 hours in flight when pushing a button in the vc so don't know if this can be related to FSUIPC but i can try ...

I have this problem also, did 2 flights yesterday enbr-loww and edfh-enbr.

Both flights were done with NGX 737, ASN, FSUIPC, ORBX Global V1,4, FS Cloud, Aerosoft ENBR, Aerosoft EDFH and Aivlasoft EFB. On both flights the sim crashes on approach when I set the fixes in the CDU.

The problems I'm thinking of certainly won't be related to pushing a button, and I doubt the sim would stay running for hours if I had the data structures wrong. But it's still a worry for me at present, at least until I can get some exchange going with the tech folks in L-M.

Hmm. Maybe you need to try with FSUIPC again?

However, note that these crashes in the language libraries are due to bad values upsetting things like message formatting, computations, array look-ups. Such errors are often intermittent, rare or variable depending upon the data which is wrong. And if uninitialised data, stuff lying around in memory, is picked up, it may or may not cause errors. Stuff in memory will vary all the time. The only way I've ever tracked them down is running under a debugger at the time, so I could track back on the stack to the original call in my code.

Maybe the P3D experts in L-M can use information in a minidump or similar. I could never figure those out myself. Hopefully someone from L-M might chip into the thread at some stage with suggestions about how to track this down.

Meanwhile, in case it is to do with weather structures, could you send me your FSUIPC4.INI file please so I can check what settings you have. petedowson@btconnect.com.

Tue 1420Z starting my day with another identical flight to test FSUIPC.

My last CTD with Event 1000 MSVCR120 error was run with the L CDU gauge disabled but I muffed the test when I clicked on a different spot that caused the crash.

That is three consecutive and five total CTDs out of seven flights in P3Dv3.

Thanks for the assist Pete. Much appreciated.

Hi Dan and Pete,

Just to let you know, I'm still flying. Almost 9 hours in flight with no problems.
I can click what I want without crashing the Sim, this is with only p3d and PMDG 77W installed. Next thing tonight i am gonna do is to install ASN without FSUIPC and see what happens.

I´ll keep you informed, in the meanwhile thanks Dan and Pete for all your help, I really appreciate it.

I just ran a trial with FSUIPC out of the picture that ended with a CTD, event viewer error same as others.

FSUIPC was set to Disabled = True in the dll.xml and the dll module file name extension was changed to .OFF

The crash occurred during descent, elapsed time into session was 3+07. As always, a mouse click on a click spot in the cockpit was followed by the CTD.

Good news Pete, I think I ruled out FSUIPC.
Not good news for the rest of us.

Try something else after lunch.

Ah, if it's a default install there's no point, because there won't be anything other that the default Weather settings, which are pretty innocuous.
