I have not purchased the T7 yet so would like to ask if this problem is also with the T7 for FSX?

I encountered it several times with the 777 now. Had a ctd event with the 737 too but not exactly the same error message.

Are you getting any errors with default aircraft or just with the T7 and NGX? Do you have any other add-ons?

As I only have the 777 and the 737 I cant confirm problems on default aircrafts. I am using FTX Global + Vector + OpenLC

I have only been using P3D for long flights for a few days, and I have gotten a random crash exactly like you during cruise on all flights (using the PMDG777, I don't have other aircraft)

Here is my similar thread on AVSIM.

Please let me know if you find a solution... The sim runs fine and stable for 5-6 hours, then crashes with a "KERNELBASE.DLL" error as well as a .NET error at the same time, for no apparent reason.

Thanks,

Any ideas anyone? I have done 3-4 12h flights in P3D 3.1 so far and every single one has ended up with the sim crashing. I have tried to disable all addons except ASN (currently using Active Sky SP4 beta, maybe I should try disabling that too).

I have not yet tried to delete and rebuild my p3d.cfg file. I'll try that next, but I doubt it'll work.... Why would the sim run 100% fine and flawlessly for hours, and then suddenly just "stop working" with a .NET Runtime and kernelbase.dll error? It's always the same thing in the event viewer. I don't understand why it appears to be super stable, but then just crashes randomly during cruise.

I just received a reply from PMDG regarding my issue.

KERNELBASE.dll definitely isn't code we wrote, and isn't called upon by any of our aircraft directly.

Microsoft's site says something about user profile corruption causing this issue. One of the users in that thread made a note about using Windows on a Mac computer through BootCamp, if you're in a similar situation. There are several ideas in here:

Hmmm... this thread has become awfully quiet.
Have you all given up or have you found a solution?

Thank you Kyle. I am running Windows directly on Windows, but user profile corruption could still be an issue I suppose.

As per the suggestions of people on AVSIM, I just tried my flight again after resetting my P3D.cfg, resetting my BIOS to default (no more overclock), completely reinstalling NVIDIA drivers and disabling all addons in the .XML files except the PMDG777 one. For the first time, I actually got a different crash than the KERNELBASE one! It crashed... but at least I'm getting somewhere.

I got the ai_player.dll crash this time. Funny thing is, I have never ever used any AI at all, it's all on 0%, and I run P3D as an administrator... I'll have to do a bit more research on this one, but I am happy to have something else other than the KERNELBASE error. Also, I didn't get the .NET error this time! Only one error. So far, I had always gotten a .NET runtime error followed by the KERNELBASE crash 1 second later.
