so,can we get a situation update on this matter?
first of all from my point of view.
1.P3D V3.2 didn't solve the issue.
2.If you don't click or enlarge any of the PFD/ND screen then you can perform any flight more than 8hrs+ without any issue.

However, for many P3Dv3.2 did fix the problem. It was coincidence that started a new build about the time that 3.2 came out. My old box had an upgrade from v3.1 running the client and contents installers to update. The new box has all new v3.2 installed with the latest downloads at the time. The problem with clicking on the Left Outboard DU (pilot PFD) has not happened with my new build in many many hours of use.

That's not to say it has been error free. I had problems with KERNELBASE CTDs that went away when I got rid of the nvidia 361.xx drivers. I still have problems with P3D\API.DLL CTDs when using turning on the dome light more than four hours into a session.... the dome light knob animation works but then P3D stops and closes with API.DLL (in the P3D directory, not the ones loaded in the windows directories) as the faulting module. It's as if it doesn't want to change virtual cockpit lighting.

The MSVCR120 event that is at the center of this thread is gone. For that I thank LM.

The Majestic and thje real air legacy are freezing so I think the pmdg is solved out with removing the main 2d panels in cocpit .

Nope, it's right here flying the NGX.

Did you do a full update to 3.2 or just the client and contents installer?

Read my post carefully, I claimed it went away after installing v3.2 to a new build but not when i had only done an upgrade to an existing installation. Does this help?

No. But I need more than anecdotal evidence before I spend hours doing a full re-install.
I too can go hours or days without a crash.
Is there an official position on a full-re-install from LM support regarding this issue?

Saul mentioned in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=113995&start=525

"As you and a lot of folks have been waiting for the fix so long.

Personally I would do a complete fresh install. Just be be sure. I know its not exactly what anyone wants to hear.
My concern is that something has been left behind. Normally I would approach each problem with the minimum of addons.

So a fresh install with nothing but the PMDG you're flying would help eliminate a lot of other variables."

A note:
At one time we could only do full product Uninstall/Install.

Now we have a choice.

And some time ago I seen it mentioned in the forums ..
if you have encountered problem(s) with your P3D setup / payware etc. after dong e.g. just the Client update .... then do a full Uninstall/install.

I have yet to upgrade to P3Dv3.2 (still on 3.1).

But, after reading Don's personal results:
"I claimed it went away after installing v3.2 to a new build but not when i had only done an upgrade to an existing installation."

I will do a full Uninstall/Install.

I did a full clean install 3months ago , have all ftx global, vector, europe, norway and some airports,no my traffic , and the pmdg and mjc-400 ,legazy . They all freeze after some flying, manage to go around the problem at the pmdg with delete the 2d panles in posts written before here about this issue . Dont know why that worked, never fly routs longer then 2-3 hours,so clue about the problem after this .

Thomas,
"I did a full clean install 3months ago"

P3Dv3.2 has only been out less than 2 months .. correct?

Which version are you talking about?

Anyone downloaded V3.3 and found if it fixes our issue?

Sorry, that was a dead end. Turns out later in the hundreds of posts to that thread that the problem was still there. It seemed for several months that the fix was a clean full install of v3.2. Up until yesterday I was running long flights on a new box with Win10 and a full clean install of v3.2 without a care in the world (well, at least after resolving issues with the buggy NVidia 364.xx drivers) until BAM!

I had a MSVCR120.dll CTD even yesterday, same signature (fault code and offset, etc) as others in pre-v3.2, running PMDG NGX after 3.7 hrs having used the left outboard DU (PFD) for departure.

The workaround is not use the left outboard DU 2D popup... use the FO PFD 2D popup and all is fine.

PMDG told me that their code for either 2D popup is the same. The only difference is something in how P3D does it, and to repeat PMDG does not use MSVCR120.dll in their modules. So... same stuff different day.
