AI Traffic P3D V5

Post by eciob »

Hi all,

I know this topic has been discuss before.

I was looking for the best Ai Traffic program for P3D.

I know AIG, but I don’t know if it’s working now. Also I,ve been searching for tutorial install, but I only see tutorials for MSFS. Seems to me that they changed the program.

Do you know any other AI Traffic engine or any tutorial?

Thanks all

AIG works fine in P3D but requires time to install lots of airlines. It remains the best available. Freeware but I’ve made two donations as servers don’t run on air.

AI from AIG works fine, and the AI Manager with OCI also works in P3D. You need to join AIG, free but registration needed.

Also look into installing flight plans on your own, using AIFP (AI Flight Planner), available here:

http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=AIFP

Click on "Latest General Release" on the left.

Tons of plans that can be installed with this tool are available on many sites - I should know, having over 14,000 (yes, fourteen thousand) of them.

When I downloaded the installation files a couple of years ago there were instructions included. They were enough to get me started. They may have improved since then.

The golden rule is just install a couple of major airlines and check the aircraft are visible in P3D. Thereafter it’s just a case of installing as many as you wish.

I chose the BGL option rather than the alternative AIGFP one which requires a separate executable to have then inserted into the sim.

Thanks all for your help.

Already installed a few home base airlines. Big FPS impact.

Thanks anyway

@eciob, what airlines and what airport? If you have a registered version of FSUIPC you can see the total number of Ai injected in the sim by reading offset 02A2 (Ground); 02A4 (Air); 025C (Total).

Use the Logging tab and type is S16. Output to FS Title Bar. Very helpful.

Eciob,

Big FPS impact? What are your system specifications?

Another easy way to get airline traffic into the sim is to download real airline liveries for the P3Dv5 aircraft (737, Commercial Airliner/A320, and the CRJ). Change the "texture" line and the "Airline" line in the aircraft.cfg file to the new liveries/airlines and you will have real airlines flying around.

You only have three choices, I used American, Delta, and United. But this will get you started until you learn how to install other flight plans. Plus, you won't overload your FPS.

Just my two cents worth.

I use AIG, FLAi and change the default airlines textures in the sim with real world ones.
