P3d V5.3 Add on scenery see only desktop
P3d V5.3 Add on scenery see only desktop
I have some problem with my scenery so I figured out it was not installed. Openend the add on scenery and clicked add area. When I hit browse I'm only seeing my desktop. No other folders or drives present. Any ideas how to solve this? I tried to re install the client but that didn't do the trick.
Thanks in advance

Hello ALT326 ,
Ok,
Are you wanting to Add-your own scenery to P3D (not payware)?

Re: P3d V5.3 Add on scenery see only desktop
I think there is a bigger issue. ORBX EFRO for instance isn't added to the scenery. If it's installed in the program library it works but if it's installed in the main library it doesn't show up and I can't add it manually.

Re: P3d V5.3 Add on scenery see only desktop
I'm fairly experienced P3D user. I added many times scenery via this screen and normally when you hit add scenery you get a box with all your drives and folders on you PC. Somehow that is corrupted, and I only get what is in the screenshot. No way I'm getting to the other folders.

Martin,
It could look to me like you have an issue with User Account Control. Have you, just for the sake of the experiment, tried to turn that off and see what happens then?

I'm thinking somehow there is something corrupted. Reason unknow. I'm thinking about the nuclear option. Re-install everything.

Now I’m getting desperate. Did a re- install and the problem is still there. Somehow when I hit add area the program sends me to the desktop. All other drives are not there. So if any of you have some bright ideas, I’m all ears.

Re: P3d V5.3 Add on scenery see only desktop
Hi ALT326
When you have uninstall P3D, have you deleted all generated files?
You can use "Delete Generated Files" which is in P3D folder.
But after that, you have to reinstall all your addons.

Found the solution on the Avsim forum. Seek and you will find :-)
OneDrive was the issue. Removed it and problem gone.
