Flickering Polygons

Post by hrhett »

Has enyone encountered the flickering polygons as shown in the linked vieo? I've enabled triple buffering which has helped but not mitigated.

Hi hrhett
Is your airport an add-on scenery?
Do you see this issue on each default airports?

Are you on the latest NVIDIA graphics driver? If so, it's reported to have compatibility issues with P3D... Seriously, I wonder what they're doing over at NVIDIA these days... their graphics drivers have been really terrible post pandemic.

PRaider,

Now that I think of it, these problems popped up after the driver update. I think its time for a regression.

Yes, Reverting one Driver Version helped solved this issue.

I'm shocked that after all these years nVidia still can't find support for any Flight Simulation platforms... mind boggling.

In another thread it has been reported that this one is on nVidia's bug list, but when they will be getting around to fixing it is another matter.

Hi Simmers

LOOK here!!

Before when i flew FSX. This problem it happends often.
( Smoke and light looking like squares) se pics below
Usually when i try out different smoke effect for heavy aircraft and some of the smoke file messed it up!!

BUT BUT BUT. Very easy to fix because it was a known and easy problem.

PLEASE NOTE: The below metioned is only for FSX so:

DONT USE THIS!!!NB NB NB NB !!!!

The little program " FSX Gauge Recover tool V1.2" fixed the problem in 10 seconds

It's the latest Nvidia driver update. Remove it and go back one version.

Their main focus has been MSFS 2020 simply due to its popularity, so I feel like they disregard other titles.
I hope NVIDIA can bring better driver solutions to Flight Sims as a whole.

Does anyone know the driver version number that causes this? "The latest driver" doesn't really help much.

Thank you!

I'm in contact with Nvidia about this now, I'm using 472.88 and P3D works fine... anything newer you see this...

Well see what they say, I've also asked them why there's never been a supported sim of any kind on their lists of supported games, hopefully I can get some clarity on that too.
