Hello everybody,

I am new to Prepar3D so my apologies if this question has beeen asked before - but I was searching for quite a while and could not find anything.

I am researching for a project using augmented virtuality for training purposes and I would like to know if there is a way to integrate one or more live video streams with a descent quality (lets say 25fps) captured by USB3.0 or Ethernet Cameras into a Prepar3D scenery.

I know from other graphic engines to support video on texture. Maybe there is something similar in P3D?

Here's a video with what I mean:

Thanks a lot for your help!

that blender video doesnt has textures and was on a linux computer not broadcasting and the lag was real bad, now get that on Windows pc with textures and livestream.

maybe that xplit can do the job, check the documentation..

Good luck on your project

I am pretty sure it is possible with DirectX. However, you will need a decent programmer to pull it off. Basicly just create a new gauge to display your stream and render what you want on it. You need C++ of course and DirectX for speed. ;)

If you did it, please let us know how.

We added the rendertotexture capability which will allow you to do what you are requesting. You can find more information and a sample in our SDK.
