Global Environment Map in the Prepar3D PRB Material

Post by xtremepro67 »

Hello Friends,

Anyone knows how to reorient the Global Environment Map (GlobalEnvTest.dds) in the Prepar3D PBR material for 3ds Max.

For an aircraft model correctly oriented in the scene, the sky appears at the nose of the aircraft (and not at the top) and the ground appears at the tail (instead of at the bottom).

This appears in the scene in 3ds Max no matter how the meshes (and/or the texture clusters) are oriented.

This makes visualizing the PBR textures and materials difficult in the 3ds Max scene because of the wronly oriented reflections of the sky and ground on the model.

There must be a way to change the orientation of the Global Environment Map so the sky appears at the top - or simply get rid of it - because it is very distracting.

Many thanks.
