Import/Manipulate real flight data to playback using .rec files

Post by RMS_FTE »

Hi

I'm new to p3d and looking for help using the PDK/SDK to view and modify the .rec file type.

I'm exploring proof of concept of "importing" real-life flight test data into P3D as a visualization tool. My idea is to take real life data (understood it will have to be "massaged" into a format, interpolated, etc.) and import into P3D to visualize a time-history playback.

I am imagining exporting aircraft real life recorded state data and inertial sensor data (euler angles, gps position) and using the playback feature.

Any tips or ideas/resources on how to accomplish this?
