I'm having problems referencing the managed LockheedMartin.Prepar3D.SimConnect dll in my VS2008 C# project. I get the yellow bang (aka !) beside the reference in my Solution Explorer. If I double click the reference I get unavailable or not yet built.

Thanks. Will temporarily use VS2010 Express. Plan on migrating to VS2010 by end-of-year.

I downloaded VS2010 Express. Now I can reference the DLL. However when I try to connect with a C# application I get the following messages. See bottom two rows. I get the EXCEPTION=5 on simConnect and Unrecognized Client on ChangeVehicle.

aferrell,

The Change Vehicle function you are trying to use is only in the Prepar3D release. Based on the SimConnect version being displayed in the diagnostic window, you are running a beta release of Prepar3D so it will not support the new function. If you wish to use the Change Vehicle function, you will need to upgrade to the new release of Prepar3D.

Thanks,

Michael

Understand. I should be getting my Release version soon. Thank you for the quick response. This thread can be closed/deleted.
