Undocked instruments lose opacity

Hi,

Is there a way to retain the properties such as opacity when undocking and moving instruments onto another screen? My aim is to overlay a WX radar over a Nav Display, where the Wx Radar has a level of opacity so as one can see the Nav Display details underneath.

Currently all undocked instruments loose their opacity and have a black back ground.
