First, assume the use of high quality airport sceneries and A/C, all ORBX global LC's, AIG_AIM, ASN w/ASCA, no EA, HDR, etc, etc, with moderate P3Dv5.2 HF1 settings.
At the stand (w/GSX L2) VRAM starts out around 3 or so; by takeoff time it is up to btwn 4.3 and 5.2. Then there is no change (or very minimal) until reaching destination, at which point VRAM jumps to high 6's (DANGER Will Robinson!). If flt is saved while at CRZ ALT and re-started later it comes up with 2.0g to 3.0g VRAM usage. I guess my question is why must a flt be re-started in order to clear the VRAM? Once you get up to CRZ level it seems there is less going on (hence the 2 - 3 Gig on a re-start); so why do you need 4+ of VRAM?
