The error message below on launching Prepar3D is due to a corrupt Scenery.cfg file

When launching Prepar3D a distorted User interface (UI) will typically have expanded borders and sections of the UI removed.

While Installing Prepar3D you may encounter this error shortly after you run the Setup_Prepar3D.exe

You will see this error message on launching Prepar3D when the default scenario is corrupt

Mostly Visualization only mode error is due to a corrupt Simobjects.cfg file or a Vehiclefavorites.xml file

If you are experiencing Black clouds this is mostly due to a corrupt ShadersHLSL folder

The Delete generated files command is new to Prepar3D v4
 
By double left clicking on this file it will remove (delete) the generated content from the 3 Prepar3D v4 folders in the Roaming , Local and the ProgramData path.  

This action will bring Prepar3D v4 back to a default state

Note: This will also temporarily disable your 3rd Party Software (Add On's)

When you launch Prepar3D these files and folders will generate again as default

For future reference we can now update Prepar3D v4 to a more recent version with a Client update and Not need to deactivate the v4 License. You will be prompted an Option to "Deactivate the Prepar3D v4 license or Not" during the Client Uninstall, If you are simply updating the Client, You can choose “No” Your Prepar3D license will stay active, therefore you will not have to reactivate once the update is finished.

This will allow users to quickly update from version to version without needing to deactivate and activate there license again
