Post by Blaunarwal »

All bridges look like this. I fear, there are a lot more objects like this. This is v5.3 HF 2.

Please fix all these wrong objects

My fix for the Memphis bridges. adding default transparency with MCX. you can get here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q9ZaGw ... sp=sharing

Looks better now

Thanks for reporting this. I'll look for what happened in the conversion to PBR that missed that. Please report additional bridges here too!

edit: I have identified bridges that don't have the 'masked' material setting and will fix them in a future update.

Hi Max

I just saw, all 4 bridges around the Memphis city center are bad and I had to add transparency to the texture. In Memphis.bgl are two bridges objects. One the bridge on the pic and 3 bridges in one object together. Haven´t seen more yet, but there could be more. I quickly checked the NAMC folder, cities I know having rivers and bridges, look ok there. So hopefully it´s only the memphis.bgl.

If you know, what went wrong, you may have a clue, where it needs to be fixed.

There's another example of a bridge displaying this same error in Kansas City as well, across the river immediately north of downtown. I can post a picture if necessary.

Haven't been here for a while, therefore my late answer. Yes, totally screwed up Kansas City. Even stadions and other objects like construction cranes lack transparency. I fixed it but still have problems with one bridge showing up double ...

I could fix it, the best possible result I think. It was difficult, since some bridges appeared from the library and from the obx file. As I understand libraries, their object should not appear unless there is a placement file. I couldn't find one for Kansas City but the OBX22180.bgl, which contains the bridges too and where I removed them. The result looks ok, not todays standard but from far, flying at one of the Kansas City airports certainly sufficient. Download from my website https://sites.google.com/view/dans-p3d-mods/home

I don't pop in here very much either... I assume it's correct that it's in the same file as the other hazards? I'll install it and check it out the next time I fly to KMCI. Thanks!
