Re: Victoria Australia Composite Scenery

A few nice shots in the SE corner of the state. The aircraft at 30,000ft. https://i.imgur.com/Z8pgHBmh.png https://i.imgur.com/YWSSptMh.png https://i.imgur.com/ZUXH3bdh.png Lower altitude. ORBX AU2 in front of the wing with the composite above the wing tip. The change is hardly noticeable in this sc...

Re: Victoria Australia Composite Scenery

A better shot of the water and coastline also showing the wave breaks adding to the scene. In short, the water is a full composite resampled at LOD13, whilst the land is a composite resampled at LOD12, thus leaving the Landclass to mostly show below and around the aircraft at lower altitudes. https:...

Victoria Australia Composite Scenery

I have been experimenting with this technique and attach a few screenshots of what I have finally come up with. Since I am showing my scenery over ORBX AUv2, I have requested and have kindly received permission from ORBX. The scenery will work with default scenery, but ORBX is much superior. The fol...

Re: Composite Scenery

When I first tried this type of scenery I tested three different tones for the grey mask but could not notice any difference. However when viewing the scenery in the tmf viewer I noticed that my tiles that have water masking were a different shade than the tiles that did not. Following investigation...

Re: Composite Scenery

This video simulates a descent during an en-route flight. At around 7,000ft ORBX high resolution ORBX AU2 textures can be seen to bleed "through". This type of scenery is ideal for large areas where high resolution imagery is expensive. The scenery takes up much less HD space and is frame ...

Composite Scenery

A friend of mine mentioned the description "composite" scenery which I think describes this scenery. I have resampled 15m imagery (Terracolor NextGen) as a "full" blend mask at LOD13, thus giving a complete 'transparent' imagery layer and when placed above your landclass scenery ...

Re: 15m Sat imagery over ORBX AU2 with Blend

I haven't had much time for the past month to finish this project, but am now back on track. I was thinking today of trying an LOD 12 layer as a "full" blend layer above an underlying higher resolution and detailed Landclass scenery without an outer LOD 11 layer, ORBX AU2 v2 in the followi...

15m Sat imagery over ORBX AU2 with Blend

I am resampling my Northern Territory scenery to an LOD11 which leaves a "hole" in the imagery below the aircraft so that ORBX AU v2 shows below and around the aircraft at lower altitudes. The 15m imagery scenery used is TerraColor NextGen True Color. Even though the color differences betw...

Re: Formation Recording Stutter

I have had this problem for a while which has prohibited any formation flying work that I have produced to be used. What I have noticed is that if you load a flight recording and you then fly after it with a user controlled aircraft, there is seemingly no stutter in the AI aircraft until you start ...

North East China on short finals!

Gibson Sceneries and TerraColor have teamed up and are on "short finals" to release the first of a World 15m En-Route Dual Scenery Series for North Eastern China. A huge area from just north of Shanghai to just over the Russian border. An area approximately 40% the landmass of the Contiguo...
