Re: V3.1 Update - Can't Run Sim

Gents-

for those of you who have installed FSLSpotlights -

there's a new version (1.0.0.15) that supports P3D v3.1. Please go here to download and install it. Make sure you uninstall earlier version first.

Re: PARKING BRAKE setting does not set BRAKE LEFT (and RIGHT) POSITION

Hi Mike, thanks once again for the clarification. I will ensure that our code distinguishes between the two possibilities. I would strongly recommend that this be documented very clearly in the Learning Center as it's something that will baffle even the most seasoned sim developer - this distinction...

Re: PARKING BRAKE setting does not set BRAKE LEFT (and RIGHT) POSITION

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply! the explanation is clear and the reasoning also. What is unclear still is what Adam described we need to do in order to return to the old functionality. Specifically, Adam mentioned that since BRAKE_LEFT_POSITION and BRAKE_RIGHT_POSITION are now writable, we can be set...

Re: PARKING BRAKE setting does not set BRAKE LEFT (and RIGHT) POSITION

Hi Adam, Following your advice, upon detection of PARKING_BRAKE action, we set the BRAKE_LEFT_POSITION and BRAKE_RIGHT_POSITION to 0 (when OFF) or Max (when action is "SET") accordingly. It looked like this worked, but it only worked "properly" once (values 'stuck' to the Max and...

Re: PARKING BRAKE setting does not set BRAKE LEFT (and RIGHT) POSITION

Thank you Adam,

I searched the forums for info on this but I must have missed the original posts.

I'll see what we can do to work with the changed logic.

PARKING BRAKE setting does not set BRAKE LEFT (and RIGHT) POSITION

Hello, We noticed that there's a behavioral difference between FSX and P3D (all versions): After setting PARKING BRAKE in FSX, the two variables BRAKE LEFT POSITION and BRAKE RIGHT POSITION return maximum values. In P3D, the same action (setting PARKING BRAKE) does not affect those two variables - a...

Re: FSLabs Concorde-X Beta applications for P3D

Hello all,

due to the overwhelming interest in the Concorde-X for P3D, we are no longer accepting beta applications. We wish to thank all of you who applied! We'll be contacting successful applicants in the immediate future.

(and thank you LM for hosting this message here).

FSLabs Concorde-X Beta applications for P3D

Hello all, we're working very hard to have v1.3 of the Concorde-X in your hands very soon! For this, we need a few select people - some already owning the Concorde-X for FSX and knowing well how it flies, but also a few who will go in to test with no preconceived notion of how it works (if that's po...

Re: P3Dv3 CTD Event 1000 MSVCR120.dll

Could you try to reinstall the problematic liveries and add these settings to your Prepar3D.cfg to see if there's any problems: [SCENERY] // To show alerts or areas, set to = 1 // To hide alerts or areas, set to = 0 // Alert for missing textures ShowMissingTextureAlert=1 // Alert for missing objects...

Re: New addon structures

Ed- if the extra functionality your add-on provides requires logic that is not so far exposed via SimConnect (or the newer APIs), there's two possible avenues: 1) You ask LM to expose it. 2) You keep using hook offsets and rebuild your add-on every time there's a new LM release. With each pathway, t...

Re: New addon structures

Hi Adam, most add-on developers already require the customer to install using administrator rights to get around Microsoft's ever stricter requirements. There is a very valid point you're making (ever so politely) about the need for LM to issue more frequent updates without breaking add-on functiona...

Hello, I have successfully gotten the SampleAirplane example to work in P3D v2.4. The requirement is to manage P3D as a gauge display provider, driven from an external sim. The problem I am having is how to actually pass individual sim variables into the sample airplane (such as airspeed, avionics o...

Pete (and LM)-

it might be a good idea to extend the event list in SimConnect to allow any events which only have 'toggle' functionality to receive 'set' functionality as well - I had discussed this awhile ago with Dave Denhart but it never made the cut for FSX SP2.

Do you ...
