Re: LUA script for seasonal textuers

Hi carlosgomez44, It sounds like your script may have some syntax and compile errors. Does your script start with !lua on the first line? There is a sample material script in your Prepar3D application "Scripts" directory called "Material Season Example.lua". It shows how to change diffuse color base...

Re: No Sessions Viewed

Hello, Correct, the versions must match so v3 servers will not be listed on v4 clients. You will only see servers listed in the lobby if they are running on the same local area network and running the same P3D version. If you want to connect to a server over the internet, you would want to use the C...

Re: Thrustmaster 1600M and pan view.

Hello,

Can you try switching the control input method from Raw Input to DirectInput? This can be done via Options > Settings > Controls > Other.

Thanks.

Re: No Sessions Viewed

Hi flynby, The Session Selection window will show multiplayer sessions that are running on the same local area network (LAN). To connect to a session over the internet you will want other players to use the Connect Direct IP feature to connect to you. Also, you will want to make sure that you are ru...

Re: Problems with Thrustmaster TFRP T-Flight Rudder Pedals

Hello, You'll also want to make sure that you have calibrated your device from within P3D via Options > Controls > Calibration > Calibrate Device . Also, as mentioned double-check your control axis assignments for your rudder pedals as they will not always correctly default to toe brakes or rudder a...

Re: PDK Sound Service Instance -> Play() Function

Hello,

We were able to reproduce the issue where 3D one-shot sounds would continue to loop. This will be resolved in the next release. Return type will be corrected as well (i.e. IsPlaying() will return S_FALSE without having to call Play() first).

Thanks!

Re: PDK Sound Service Instance -> Play() Function

Hello,

What SOUND_GROUP are you using? Its possible that 3D sound may not work for SOUND_GROUP_VOICE.

Hi Benny,

Do you see the same behavior if the sound is not created as 3D?

Re: PDK Sound Service Instance -> Play() Function

Hi Jim,

Storing the reference counted pointer in your own class should be fine. If your class is the sole owner of the ISoundInstance, you'll just want to make sure it has a ref-count of one throughout its lifetime so that is properly released when your class is destroyed.

Re: PDK Sound Service Instance -> Play() Function

Hello, The CreateSoundInstance function will give back a SoundInstance with a ref-count of one. One can then manually call Release() or it can be stored within a CComPtr for automatic release. You should not need to add a reference. Calling CreateSoundInstance essentially hands over ownership to you...

Re: Avatar control

Hi Oliver,

Unfortunately these events aren't currently documented. In your Simconnect call, rather than use SIMCONNECT_OBJECT_ID_USER you should be able to use the object ID of the Avatar you are attempting to move.

Re: Avatar control

Hi rsubers2, For movement, you should be able to trigger the key events as seen in the controls Key Assignments and Axis Assignments and UI: For example: Avatar - Move Forward (down) Avatar - Move Forward (up) The "down" event would begin movement, the "up" event would end movement. The events can a...

Re: Can the Default aircraft to be controled by data which is transferring from outside?

Hello, The Tracker sample was setup to demonstrate a standalone ISimObject that would drive its own position. When selected as the user object, the Tracker ISimObject would move on its own. Is your DLL an ISimObject that is selected as the user object or are you trying to write a PDK based DLL that ...

Hello lvedin,

Can you try switching control input API from Raw Input to DirectInput? This can be done via Options > Controls > Other > Input Method.

Note: You will have to rebind your joystick controls.

Thanks.

Re: PDK IAnimationControllerV01

Hi Benny, The IAnimationControllerV01 does not need to be implemented by your ISimObject, it's actually a service that is implemented by the Prepar3D application. You can access it by calling QueryService on an IBaseObject with the correct SID and IID GUIDs for the IAnimationControllerV01 interface....
