Re: Weird Night Textures

I don't recognize that airport... who is the developer? Complete problem description goes a long way to getting help. I have several Fly Tampa locations where I had to turn off their landclass bgl files for showing night textures during the day. Your issue is similar but I don't think this is a Fly ...

Re: ORBX CENTRAL ISSUES

I have issues since I sync ORBX Central (newest Version) with P3D the first time. I'am using V4.5 with HF2. My landclasses are complety mixedup. Grass is growing on runways. Water and Night-Landclasses are constantly chanching. Orbx issues really should be addressed in the Orbx support forum. Meanw...

Re: Corrupt add-ons.cfg

Hi Dan Thank you for joining this discussion and drawing attention to this yet unknown add-ons.cfg! Actually, this add-ons.cfg seems to have a number of questionable entries, entries which only concern the scenery.cfg, etc. But what is the use of this add-ons.cfg at this location? I am now aware no...

Re: All sound.cfg files deleted/missing

Run repair for content and client. In any case, removing and reinstalling these components should not have an impact on your addons as long as they are installed correctly.

Re: ORBX files installation

Please visit the Orbx support forum for assistance.

Orbx modifies the P3D texture, scenery and addon configuration files. It also uses FTX Central to track what you have installed, where it is installed, etc., and one cannot simply move it.

Re: Altering Airport gate/ramp names in Menu

Easy to do with any default airport using the free Airport Design Editor ADE, includes a very thorough user manual helpful to the beginner. Also can do with any payware addon airport but you cannot change the graphics so if a parking spot has a number on the pavement you cannot change that.

Re: Corrupt add-ons.cfg

Look for questionable entries in your programdata\...\add-on.cfg file. Entries here can create the exact problem you describe.

Re: Replace UK Airspace Boundaries BGL

What you are doing will work but you must turn off the bgl files you are replacing, commonly done by adding .OFF to the filename as in abc.bgl.OFF.

Re: I7-9700K with P3D

Were I to buy one today it would be the 9700K, the only difference to the 9900K is hyper-threading. I don't use HT with P3D ergo the 9900K is wasted money for me. Others want the highest numbers they can get but I'm an engineer and don't like to throw unnecessary resources at a problem.

Re: P3DV4.5 will not launch with PMDG NGX installed

Reinstalling software is rarely a valid troubleshooting step. It may create more problems. No where in the P3D troubleshooting steps does it recommend reinstalling P3D. There are addons are known to cause a problem with the PMDG products if they are not up to date. Bottom line is that you should be ...

Re: P3D v4.5 Launch issues

Click on windows start button and type problem, select view all problem reports and drill down to the P3D reports. However, in 95% of cases when P3D fails to start it is because something is wrong with an addon. It is usually how the addon was added (an error in the add-on.xml file for example) or i...

Re: Install recommendations

With d: being a HDD, I think you are still better off putting P3D there because the c: SSD is so small.... I didn't know they still sell SSD's that small :p True, load times with HDD are a little longer than with SSD but once one adds enough complex scenery the whole issue of load time goes away bec...

Re: exe xml and D11 xml

Easy to do yourself. For example, change dll.xml to dll.xml.off and restart P3D. It will create a new dll.xml.
