Re: Prepar3D V5.4 API.DLL Crash To Desktop

Hello I've experienced this crash for the first time while using Prepar3D 5.4... Hi Amir, I've just had a similar API.dll crash using 5.4. I think this crash can be traced to an addon like an aircraft (with dlls) or program. The addons I was using at the time were: Aerosoft Airbus Professional Hifi...

Re: FullScreen Windowed Mode Anti-Aliasing Broken on Windows 10

Yes I understand. For many people, aliasing isn't off-putting, and they don't see what the hassle is. For others, aliasing ruins the immersion. I'm in the that second group.

Re: FullScreen Windowed Mode Anti-Aliasing Broken on Windows 10

P3D v5.2 full screen looks good to me with Vaughan, This single shot, angle and proximity is not a good way of seeing the problem. The DCS videos above demonstrate the problem because they are (a) in motion and (b) showing semi-transparent objects in the distance. This problem is very evident in P3...

Re: mso20win32client.dll

@ brynmwr , I was not having any conflict on my setup but I have now disabled RAAS in P3Dv4 and P3D v5. I don't reckon it's necessary to preemptively deactivate it. It's a cool feature, and it doesn't create a random CTD, but an error at load. I'd just try uninstalling and reinstalling whichever pr...

Re: mso20win32client.dll

How / where did you look to verify : "It took me a day or so to trace this to the Access engine, and then to see that the only product loading the engine was RAAS." RAAS comes with PMDG747, I do not recall having to install RAAS? Resource monitor will show the associated modules. Disablin...

Re: mso20win32client.dll

I don't think P3D uses any office dependencies. On the other hand, FS2Crew RAAS does. It uses (and installs) the Access 2010 engine. You can see this if you go to your programs and features - there is an Access 2010 engine there. Some installers install the Spanish version, for some reason. My 747 a...

Re: mso20win32client.dll

I think this is a FS2Crew RAAS problem. Try disabling that, and see if it solves the crashes. This is what caused my msoffice crashes in P3D. If it does, try installing FS2Crew RAAS again. I think the different installers (PMDG, Aerosoft) install different versions of the very old Access database en...

Re: P3D V5.1HF1 - Very impressive changes - THANKS!

I have to agree with this. I don't use EA (I actually prefer the other look!), but this update has fixed some small effects and shader glitches in non-EA, and performance is just outstanding. Thanks very much.

Re: No runway lights with EA turned off?

In the spirit of making sure the next person can fix the problem more easily, I finally narrowed this down to its cause. This problem was because Prepar3d effects scaling was not set to default in FSReborn AI Lights config panel. Bryn.

Re: No runway lights with EA turned off?

For those that come after, I deleted my add-ons.cfg and rebuilt it and set active=false for each add-on, and I deleted the files in SceneryIndexes_x64. The lights then worked. I then went through one-by-one to see which add-on might have caused the problem, but I got to the end with them all activat...

Re: No runway lights with EA turned off?

Thanks Vaughan! If you could check at a default airport, that would be best (3PD airports with custom lights are working ok). Bryn.

Re: No runway lights with EA turned off?

Hi, No, my P3D is not in a default state, and I do not want to revert to that if I can help it. It is at all airports, at any time of night. Taxi lights are also missing. If this is unique to me, I can problem-solve it myself, but I just wanted to know if it was a known issue with the latest version...

No runway lights with EA turned off?

Hi,

I've tried numerous things (shader clear, driver update, cfg clear), but with 5.1, I have no default runway lights or taxiway lights when EA is turned off. Is this a known issue? Or should I keep trying to find the source of the problem on my computer?

Thanks,
Bryn.

P3Dv5 sloped aprons and taxiway surfaces not respecting surfaceQuery="NONE"

Hi, If I set taxiwaypaths and aprons surfaceQuery="NONE", the taxiway lines and lights will clamp to the underlying terrain, but the surface will remain at the airport altitude (or will respect the alt in the taxipoints if that is set). However, runway surfaces will clamp to the terrain wi...
