Re: How to Update P3Dv5.0 to P3Dv5.1
Vaughan, It is really appreciated that you have to post and obfuscate every issue that has already been explained. Jorgen Perhaps if you stopped providing inaccurate, and unhelpful information, especially to new users of Prepar3D, others wouldn't have to correct your posts. In this case, when updat...

Have a look at this post:FabioMagnoni wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 2:48 am After the HF2 everytime I startup my Sim, it's asking to enable all my add ons.
Any idea how to fix it?

Re: can we have default "search" in airport selection back ?
Kayla, it's not really the search functionality that's missing. It''s just that in v4 when you selected Change Airport from the scenario screen, the ICAO textbox was already activated and you could just start typing. This was added when v4.0 HF1 was released: Prepar3D v4.0 Hotfix 1 Client Fixes and ...

Re: No ATC Sound after buying new PC
Another option to try is to delete your Prepar3D.cfg file, start P3D and it will rebuild using default settings. If you still have no ATC, chances are good that it's your Windows sound settings (in particular check your speaker configuration to ensure you don't have 5.1 or 7.1 selected when only usi...

Re: One computer, but TWO P3D licences??
Yes. They will play nicely. I still have v3 installed, although it doesn't get much use these days.

Edit: make sure you uninstall/deactivate the P3D Client before making major computer hardware changes.

Re: "There are multiple objects with the same title name"
@Randy, "The problem is duplicate [fltsim.xxx] title = entries in multiple sim.cfg files within various FSDT Addon Manager/Simobjects subfolders." I seen that and that is why I ask the previous question. However the second (dupe) title was part of a different Numbered title. I did not kno...

Re: "There are multiple objects with the same title name"
The problem is duplicate [fltsim.xxx] title = entries in multiple sim.cfg files within various FSDT Addon Manager/Simobjects subfolders. Umberto is going to have to update those files to fix the duplicate entries. You can disable the GSX package to allow SimDirector to load by editing the add-ons.cf...

Re: Default AC11 Commander problems
I tried it a couple times today and the issue did not reappear. One thing I did notice today was that the aircraft loaded with everything turned ON whereas yesterday, when the issue was present, all radios were OFF when the plane loaded. For me, I suspect it was just a bad initialization, which expl...

Re: Default AC11 Commander problems
Interesting. I hadn't flown the AC11 in a long time but last night decided to have a look at the VC to see if it was a good candidate for the RXP GTN 750. I loaded the AC11 from the scenario screen at ORBX KFHR and it was not running. I decided to start it up (from memory) but it wouldn't start. Ctr...

Re: Program crashing
You could see if there is a BIOS update for your motherboard and/or try loading optimized defaults. Other than that, ensure Windows is updated.

Re: Ensuring runway exists
Have a look at Little NavMap. After you load the scenery library, the (moving) map will show you what you have in your scenery library (airports, runways, navaids, etc.). You will not be disappointed.

Re: [P3Dv4.5HF2] DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
In your previous post (above) you mentioned: "The only time I've ever seen this error is with P3Dv3 and FSLabs Spotlights. " Yes. The fix was to revert to nVidia driver 376.33. FSLabs refused to alter the x86 Spotlights program and instead required the use of the older driver. It was 100%...
