Re: year 2013 and FPS ...

Thank you very much ... We are back in 2013 ... Dude! Your mobo, ram and cpu are so 2013. So as long as you're anchored in the past you'll never come to terms with the present ....the P3D V5 recommended specs; which is highly recommended when you start adding complex aircraft and demanding scenery.

Re: P3D V5, CPU higher than GPU!

what i thought is, that with v5 using DX 12 there would be using all cores more evenly... but that is not the case. I see that core zero is working at 100% most of the time and the rest jump up and down at 10% to maybe 50%.... the same i observed in verion 4.5 (not using DX12). Follow this guy: Bea...

Re: Radeon 5700/5700xt

LM Devs, Radeons top of the line 5700 series has been out on the market since last summer. Maybe somebody on your staff should go to Amazon and buy one for you to internally confirm products on. If ONE of you had tested v5 on one of these cards you would have caught the error. Your customers who ha...

Re: High CPU Usage

Running unlimited FPS? If so, lock your FPS to something like 30 FPS, that should calm things down a bit.

Dan beat me to the punch...

P3d will use what ever you throw at it ...but your hardware is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Re: High End Rig, Low FPS

To the o.p.: With the exception of a few things your settings are reasonable; however, I'd try a couple things differently: -try 8xMSAA -turn off dynamic reflections -shadows quality to lowest setting (not off) -turn off special effects -turn off buildings cast and receive shadows / trees also -bump...

Re: P3D 4.5 crashes to Win 7 reboot

An upgrade to Win 10 makes sense. But is there a way (or a program) that'll move my existing programs across from Win 7 to Win 10? My previous experience with Windows OS upgrades is that all the programs must be reinstalled and I don't want to go to all that time and trouble. This is the main reaso...

Re: FSX to P3D on my specs?

I think the OP's system will run P3D v4, maybe not stellar performance, but "good enough". I have 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, but 2133 MHz, and a "minimum" GTX 960 video card, and my system runs reasonably well. Of course, these 2 items are the weaknesses, but there is a restraint called THE BUDGET..... Jor...

Re: Low GPU and CPU usage with low FPS

Hi everyone, Yesterday I just receive my Ryzen 5 3600x, my motherboard automatically overclock it to 4.4 ghz, I test it and I had a great surprise. In the worst scenario, with fslabs a321 at EGLL airport with Sliders almost to the right and a very bad weather with AS16, I can easily reach what I wa...

Re: FSX to P3D on my specs?

Maybe I should've put the "minimum" and "recommended" in quotations. There are two columns on the "system requirements" chart "minimum" and "recommended". The O.P. is on DDR3 memory - DDR4 is "recommended"; using a 4GB video card - 8+ is "recommended"; and since he is using a DDR3 CPU I think we can...

Re: FSX to P3D on my specs?

He's at the minimum requirements, well short of the recommended. OP, your hardware will really struggle if adding anything meaningful with regard to addons.

Re: FPS Problem
So my memory is the problem.
I don't think you're here because of the 2400 memory, that memory just gives you a really low performance ceiling. I think, as Martyson might, that there are other contributing factors, be it software and/or hardware. The more info you can share on this...
