Support for more than 2 COM radios

Is there a possibility of getting support for a 3rd and even a 4th COM radio? Some of the military aircraft I work on have a VHF and a UHF radio with simultaneous transmit on both with guard receive. To simulate that I would need to be able to tune COM 1 and 2 as the UHF and VHF radios, and COM 3 as...

Re: Changing the pitch range in Targeting Pod

I’m not sure if you read the previous post on this issue, but the very nature of Euler rotations are such that pitch can never exceed +-90!
If you want to go beyond 90 deg downwards, you need to add 180 deg to your heading value, and then start moving pitch back towards 0.

Re: Changing the pitch range in Targeting Pod

Instead of using SetContinuousPitch, try the SetPbh function. That way you have complete control over where the camera is looking.

Re: Identify joysticks for SimConnect_MapInputEventToClientEvent

Nope. But the only reason I use SimConnect_MapInputEventToClientEvent is in order to mask joystick hardware inputs from the sim to prevent conflicts. I wrote my own class for using DirectInput on its own to handle everything from axes, buttons, POV hats, keyboard inputs, event based or status on dem...

Re: Identify joysticks for SimConnect_MapInputEventToClientEvent

Set your control input method in P3D to DirectInput (Controls menu->Other), then use the DirectInput SDK to enumerate your devices. The sequence will match.

Re: Accessing Post Process Depth Buffer

I don't know if what you are trying to do is possible via the post process system. I can only access the depth buffer via the PDK Texture Plugin system in a C++ module.

Re: Accessing Post Process Depth Buffer

That's essentially what a depth buffer is. Monotone. Is there something else you are expecting?

Re: RayCast ObjectID return

Out of curiosity, would this system accurately return the lat/lon/alt of say a point on the side of a building if I were to use it for simulating laser range finding?

Re: Changing of Default Axis Range in TargetingPod Camera View

Its up to you to work within those confines. If you desire to send an angle > 90 deg pitch, you need to stop it, set heading to -180, and then start decreasing pitch.

Re: Changing of Default Axis Range in TargetingPod Camera View

Pitch can only ever be +- 90. When you are at -120, you change the heading to + or -180, and the pitch to -60. So when pitch passes -90, it starts to increase again, with a heading of -180.

Re: Whether aircraft information can be obtained and sent out in a 10ms cycle??

You can make a dummy data request on that object and set the request interval to sim frame. That's the closest you will get to being in sync with the sim. See this to get time delta between frames: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=C:_C%2B%2B_timers Also try turning your framerate sli...

Re: Bug: Body acceleration not applied correctly

I found this issue while doing my INS with a RK4 integrator. I had to resort to deriving acceleration from aircraft velocity between frames.

Re: On screen text display in VR

The size will be the same of the total number of doubles in the struct. Eg a struct composed of only one double will have the same size as a straight double.

When using sizeof with a struct, I would use the struct's name definition, rather than your instance of the struct as the parameter for sizeof.
