Re: Prepar3d becomes unresponsive to mouse input?

Thx, unfortunately not. Even alt/tab wont control the sim, its almost like the sim is not in "windows focus"

This is happening all the time now, even after a reboot. I am wondering if something I have installed has interfered with P3d, invetsigating

Prepar3d becomes unresponsive to mouse input?

Hi, v4.5 Sometimes after I have alt/tab to another application, when I return to P3d I cannot use the mouse to interact with the program? If I use the kb I can get to the menus etc and make changes, but the mouse clicks do nothing except register the windows exclamation sound? Any ideas? win10 64, n...

Re: Ground surface friction

The original default values contained in SIM1.DLL are the issue, I have done a lot of research on friction coefficients and posted my findings on fsdev. The bottom line here is that using the default rolling friction sim value for concrete causes other values within the airfile to become skewed. All...

Re: Triton water SDK/P3d settings

Thank you Beau,I was trying to introduce some of the effects seen in the Sundog Triton SDK promo video which I think would make the water even more wonderful! these are all rendering features so you have answered my question. https://youtu.be/LeZkd7d5-3g I think the Sundog rendering of foam and wave...

Triton water SDK/P3d settings

Hi, i have been playing with the Triton config trying to enable some of the wonderful content the SDK provides. However even when I remove the # from the lines for the effects that Triton is capable of, it doesnt seem to get rendered in P3d? has the water model been restricted via the SDK? I have tr...

Re: Any chance of TrueSky?

I purchased FSW just to see this, I have to say it would be amazing if LM could license this for P3d, wx depiction is still really stuck in the FSX days/code

please consider this LM team it would be the icing on the cake!

Lighting/ reflect on clouds please

Hi LM team.

The new dynamic lighting is superb, but it would be even better if it could illuminate the clouds/fog/precipitation in close proximity to the camera.

if this could be implemented without major FPS loss then please could you consider it

many thanks

Re: [Bug] Graphics Memory Leak??

Whenever I minimise P3d to taskbar, I can be guaranteed I will run out of VAS

The funny thing is, I do not run PMDG or any of the heavy airplane addons as I have a home cockpit so its all networked out. During normal flying I never get an OOM unless P3d is sent to the taskbar

Seperate nosewheel steering control

Please can you give the option within the airfile to separate the rudder control from the nosegear steering, they are currently linked which is fine for small GA but not for larger aircraft. I am aware that FSUIPC can simulate a tiller but for serious simulations it needs more finesse and control. m...

Re: fx_landing effect

It would be better if landing lights actually cast some light by default as opposed to painting a white texture over the light beams. It would also be nice if the lights could reflect off clouds and fog. 3rd party lights based on the original Lotus sim method are good but clouds do not reflect this ...

DX12

Please consider supporting/making use the benefits that dx12 would bring to performance and rendering. I understand that win10 is still a small percent of the market but if performance is one of the main platform objectives then dx12 must be considered.

Light beams and transitioning through cloud

Light beams Please could you consider overhauling the halo.bmp landing light effect? it would be nice if the default beam actually illuminated the ground (as opposed applying a white out texture) without having to create a complex 3d model which "hacks" ground lighting from a light beam. ...

Re: P3Dv3: Multimonitor Distortion fix. When if ever ?

Yes I have to agree, for the platform to be used to its full potential this is a must, I run 3 "40 widescreen LED monitors and the fish eye effect at the periphery is very ugly and obvious

please take a look at this LM

thanks

I guess the million dollar question, what benefit is there in upgrading to P3d? everybody is looking forward to DX12, I look forward to seeing what advances and benefits DX12 bring to the P3d platform, I am guessing we will need to await v3
