Re: Improved Performance in 4.5, but more freezes
I notice the same between 4.4 and 4.5, especially with uk2000 airports I also get more long pauses, after much fiddling I cant get rid of these I have noticed 4.5 seems to load more vector data so I shifted my top terrain detail slider to the middle, has helped a bit Many people on fslabs forum also...

Re: Tree artifacts after update to 4.5
just had this issue, luckilly before using tomatoshade (latest version) i back my shader folder up manually. Did a restore of shaders using TS restore..... just the same. Restored shader folder manually, bingo works. I conclude an issue with TS and 4.5 HF2 and in addition TS does NOT restore shaders...

Re: Post 4.5 Hotfix install Very Long Load Times
I installed ORBX global, no issue, installed NALC, no issue, then vector, and the load times went through the roof. FYI yup i found the same with 4.5 and noted that airport and vector data was loading 40km out instead of 25km in a straight side by side comparison between 4.5 and 4.5 with exactly th...

Re: Post 4.5 Hotfix install Very Long Load Times
are we going backwards in performance here or has that slider been re-scaled ? Is there any way to turn the sliders label into the actual range and not a subjective l/m/h? Prior to the hotfix I/we found that on the same slider settings an extra 15km in radius of detail was being loaded in 4.5 vs 4.4...

Re: AI Traffic Issues since 4.5 update
Do you use FSUIPC as it has a traffic culling option that may be behind this Also if you are using Ultimate Traffic Live make sure you have disabled the Target Framerate lock (set to zero) Take a copy of your p3d cfg file and delete it and allow to regenerate a new one, see if the issue has gone, if...

Re: Scripted textures still not rendering correctly
also have this . saving the scenario and re-loading brings the rain layer back. Starting a flight with rain will mean rain later in the flight will be visible, if no rain at start of flight then rain on approach may or may not show. If it doesnt show on approach saving and re-loading sceanrio will f...

Re: 35 Minute Load times
the findings from the low FPS issue are linked to longer loading times as, certainly in my tests of 4.4 vs 4.5, a lot more gets loaded for the same slider settings. This will give lower fps and a longer loading time. LM have noted the issue and say they have a hotfix coming out soon but, as is usual...

Re: Very Long Load Time v4.5
Hi There is a significant increase in load times if you have AI traffic. I have added recently IVAO traffic library and now the loading time has increased from about 2min to about 10min. Add JF MyTraffic and you got the double in times ... I removed all of this. I am adding only specific scenery re...

Re: Very Long Load Time v4.5
OK Lockheed Martin - you promised a quicker load time for v4.5 My default scenery used to take 2 minutes to load in v4.4 After installing v4.5 that same scenery now takes 4 minutes 30 seconds. In fact it stalls at the 6% load for 2 minutes 15 seconds (the time it used to take to fully load under v4...

Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
With thousands of add-ons and literally hundreds of thousands of possible conflicts how do you believe testing should be done? Just this afternoon I found an FSX add-on that forces 32-bit runtime files on a 64-bit system that wrecks other add-ons. You want the P3D testers to solve this? Many add-on...

Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
My tests just looking at FPS drop and increase in ram and vram usage 30-50% are in line withs robs more detailed findings. I conclude way more is being loaded with the same slider settings. This is either a bug (lod slider always @ ultra reardsless of position) or LM have increased the range of some...

Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
last observation .... the top lod slider that I normally have set mid way (High) used to have a large impact on framerate and mem usage when set to Ultra vs high vs medium. This is no longer the case, flying in central Scotland on approach to UK2000 airports I get 16FPS (4.4 I had 30), moving LOD up...
