Re: Prepar3d 4.5 Update fails to display Scenario screen.

Gents- the A320-X/A319-X will require an update, as with every time a P3D v4.X update comes out. Spotlights should *not* require an update, however, it should work as-is, until you try to reinstall it, at which time it will ask you to update to a later version (v2.0.0.11 will be required for v4.5, w...

Re: i7-8086K not running at 5.0Ghz despite 100% Core0 usage

I'm with Kevin on this one, regarding overclocking - it's not trivial, but really not all that difficult either. The chips do tend to vary in quality, though, some can overclock a lot (5.1 / 5.2) and some not that much (4.8 / 4.9). But they will certainly withstand a good amount of overclocking anyw...

Re: i7-8086K not running at 5.0Ghz despite 100% Core0 usage

Ray, overclocking has become "simpler" nowadays and with a good liquid cooling system in place (Corsair Liquid Cooling 110i is what I am using, if I recall the title correctly), you can easily gain a good 10% of performance with moderate overclocking settings, without a huge risk of frying anything....

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

What you did just simply taxed the graphics card less now which causes no long frames on your DX device and thus, no device hung errors. As far as I understand from conversations with Beau, the real issue is that P3D cannot *recover* from the hung device message - he said this might not be possible ...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I can only make assumptions, but I am leading towards a suspicion that it is not a single point of failure for this error to appear - it is likely a combination of things that might be causing "long frames" which lead the driver to falsely believe the device is hung / frozen. There are certainly var...

Re: Error DLL

Dear Elaine,

we just posted v1.0.0.27 which is the version compatible with the latest P3D v3.4.18.19475 hotfix (HF2).

Previous versions were not compatible (as is expected).

Re: Possible new VAS issue in v3.4

On a more general note, I believe the primary reason for increased memory hits from view cycling is that the external aircraft model is typically a separate model from the VC. The user aircraft models won't page out of memory the way air traffic might because you're always near the user aircraft. S...
