Re: toal disc space needed?

There are many ways to resolve your problem, it all depends on how skilled you are with computers. The simplest way would be to uninstall if from you C: drive and reinstall it to you regular hard drive. Trying to run it on a C: drive with very little space left MAY work for a while, but you're invit...

Re: Saitek's Switch and Radio panels?

I've searched around and so far found nothing that will do it for free. Going back to the old 32bit version of Prepared is the simpler way. If it was still the old Saitek company I've say that your great great grandchildren would still be waiting for Saitek to come up with new drivers. As it is, Sai...

Re: Saitek's Switch and Radio panels?

This is what I have. http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1393779671.jpg Not seen is the TrackIR . That also works with P3d V4. No problems. I've deleated the Saitek drivers/software and installed SPAD.neXt. Everything works perfectly, and you get FULL control. The button box above also works...

Re: Which new hardware for P3D V4?

No one is going to want to answer those questions because a great many people will fight to the death to push their opinion. On top of that - Are you talking about buying a complete new system, or replacing parts in your old system. If the latter, your motherboard is going to be the determining fact...

Re: Saitek's Switch and Radio panels?

I have all of the Saitek panels and I have ABSOLUTELY no problems between them and P3d V4. Saitek has great equipment at a reasonable price. But the software is anemic. To get the most out of it, I'm using the paid version of SPAD.neXt. What you have to do is completely remove the Saitek drivers. A...

First short navigation - Queenstown, NZ (NZQN) to Wanaka, NZ (NZWF) In P3d V4 & Orbx

This is the "basic" Orbx scenery that's out as of this morning. There's still a lot that hasn't been updated, but I think that it still looks good enough for now. Everything download quickly and worked right off the bat. I couldn't be happier. THNAKS LM! http://www.simviation.com/phpupload...

Re: ram problem

? After looking over your system specs VERY carefully, all I can say is "What are you talking about?" We have no info to go on so I'll take a wild ass guess or two. You probably have 4GB of ram? Crashing at 2.7GB sounds about right then. You think that once your system boots up it leaves ...

Re: RAM question for P3D v3

Snave's question is indeed #1, but whether it's 32 or 64 bit you also have to consider what other programs you may be running. I usually have Opus, SPAD.neXt, Plan-G, TrackIR, and two small monitors running an external instrument program. All that takes memory too. I have 16gig of the fastest memory...

Re: Incredible loss of FPS after upgrade to 3.1

Before you do a clean install, think about this - Most people aren't running into your problem. There's another post where a guy couldn't calibrate his controller, and therefore couldn't fly. Nothing worked right in V3 so he did a clean install of V2.X. It worked. He then did a clean install of V3.1...

Re: Enhanced Scenery Prepar3d v3

As far as scenery goes, it pretty much depends on what you fly and how high. If it's "high and fast" then you can concentrate on airports with something like MegaSceneryEarth to fill the space in between. If it's "low and slow" you have a harder choice as there are a few good cho...

Re: pay also for the future v.4 ?

You call this site a fan club? Go over to X-Plane 10. One of the reasons that I stopped using X-P 10 was because of the rabid X-P 10 fanatics. To answer the question: No, you do not have to keep paying for each step up in the development chain. Simply wait until Prepar3d is in a form that is good en...

Re: Saitek panels

Everyone has to start some time, somewhere. The answers ARE out there if you'll just Google the problem! First - GET RID OF THE STUPID SAITEK DRIVERS!!!! Google how to remove drivers if you have to. Burn your computer if you can't figure it out. Give it to a stranger. Just get rid of those drivers. ...

Did you try to run SimConnect.msi from the Prepar3d V3 directory?

This is the TrackIR 5 version that I have. Which one do you have?
