Re: 64-bit introduced problems
Maybe bottlenecks on busses will be more likely. I now run 2x GTX980Ti without SLI on my main PC, and I have wondered if the reduction on my PCI-bus from 16x to 8x is in any way visible, but I really cannot say I have found any information that tell me I am missing out on anything. I Have wondered i...

64-bit introduced problems
Lets just assume that P3D some day will be released in a 64-bit version. What new problems will we run into? The last few years we've had the popular OOM error, and with a software that utilize a 64bit OS, there is almost endless memory addresses for the software to use. How I understand it, every d...

Running FS9 still, you sure missed out on alot.
LM will NOT answer your question about future release. Did you really think they would tell just you? Really?

Re: Multiscreen
4GB RAM is not enough RAM to support your computer to process and deliver all the data needed for 5+2 screens. You will also need a 3rd graphichs card for screen #7. With 3 GPUs, your PCI-bus will run 4X, 4X, 8X. I dont think you can really tell by the quality of your images if the PCI-bus run 4x og...

Re: Multiscreen
I have 5 monitors, each running 1920x1080 resolution. I use 2x GTX980Ti graphics cards in a computer with i7 4690k CPU@4,4GHz and 16GB RAM. FPS will depend on your settings. I have no problem running the sim with 50fps on ground at lest say ORBX ESSA, but then details are very bad. On the other hand...

Re: The Complete Idiot's Guide to SimDirector
hahahaha... just what I need to :D I would like to be able to make simple routes with startup point (in aircraft of own choice), waypoints and a goal after safe landing on designated rw and taxied to parking. Sounds easy, but the SimDirector is a very advanced tool with so many possibilities to do t...

Re: examples of mission
I'm taking the same approach after first having tried to set up a route with 8 WP's and 3 boxes, but I need to add some speech and WP success indicators. As I fly now, I have no idea if I have reached a WP or not. I wanted to look how the simple default tutorials is made, but could not find the .flt...

Re: View Groups Tutorial for P3D v3.3
I run 5 monitors, and have set up viewgroups 3 times now due to changing GPUs. I'm having real trouble seeing what is different from setting it up ref. the tutorial and setting it up as I have done for years, with simply adding 4 windows/views, undocking them and adjusting it to fit my eye point. I ...

Re: Questions about View Groups
I have set up a view group using Hargroves tutorial, but I think its more or less the same view as setting up 5 undocked views and tuning them manually. When setting up an automatic viewgroup like the default group, we only have one view in the group, but it still operates as 5 separate windows/view...

Re: View Group - Bezel correction
Thanks for the replies. I did not get to do further testing yesterday, but I think the only thing I havent done, is to save the ViewGroup I created. I actually looked for a way to save it the other day, but cannot find such a button. Should I save the flight while in active View Group? Is that how w...

Re: View Groups and SideAngles
Sorry for bad explanation. Maybe this scketch can show what I tried to explain. By setting the view angle in relation to a mid point (center), the view can be shown on asymetrical setups but still ensure that the view will show center where you actually have your center of view. :D https://lh3.googl...

View Group - Bezel correction
I'm trying to set up my view over 5 screens in cylindrical mode grid. To allign the FOV to my setup and head position, I found that -110/110 is about correct. Altering these values change the FOV and is easily seen. I then need to adjust the values for overlapping, but nothing seems to have effect. ...

Re: View Groups and SideAngles
My guess is that the separate left/right values permit us to have i.e. 3 monitors where 2 goes in front, and one to the left.
Values could then be Left:-90, Right:45. You view would then compensate for having 2 monitors left of center in cockpit, and only 1 to the right.
