Text messages turn off Vsync in P3Dv5.1?

Something I recently observed is when a text message opens like my tiller steering message in FSLabs A320 it shuts down Vsync. I watch my frames go from 30 to unlimited with every toggle of the text message. If I deactivate text messages in P3Dv5.1 no issue. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? I ...

Re: P3Dv5 F-22 Shaking and Spinning

I have no better way to describe this other than to say that the default F-22 is shaking/jittering and spinning while on the ground. When it initially loads, the aircraft is shaking side to side. This disappears as soon as the aircraft is moving. Last night I noticed the aircraft slowly spinning wh...

Re: The _most_ important graphics setting (in my experience!)

Since you run with Vsync and Triple buffering I would suggest finding a native 30 Hz monitor or in my case 43 inch Samsung 4K TV. Then I run Unlimited, Vsync On and Triple Buffering. The sim limits frames around 30 Hz so you’re not wasting all that power on unnecessary frames. Yes you will hear from...

Re: VR - OculusRift

That’s a difficult question because there are so many variables to consider. One of the best things to do is run GPU-Z and watch your GPU load. You have to run it while in VR and I look down my nose with my head tilted up to see the values or you can have someone tell you them. You can customize the...

Re: VR - OculusRift

Find the Oculus Debug Tool that was installed with Oculus software. Launch the tool and try setting the Pixel Density to 1.5 or 1.6 if your system can handle. You need to set this before entering VR in P3D but can exit VR and try a different setting then renter VR. Additionally keep the tool running...

Re: Can shoreline waves be disabled in P3Dv5 ?

Rob any reply as to why we still see them?

I have turned off the relevant “wave” files and now they’re gone but that’s not something I wish to keep doing since they’re not supposed to be there in v5.

Re: Can shoreline waves be disabled in P3Dv5 ?

Yes those are the style of waves I see on shores and inland canals that I don’t like and would like to shut down.
Are you saying they are not generated by P3D and if so what’s MMMT and how can I get rid of them?

Re: Can shoreline waves be disabled in P3Dv5 ?

Yes I am seeing the same white lined wave affects crashing on and into the shorelines with a clean install of v5. I have version 4.5 still installed on the system but v5 was a clean install.

Re: Can shoreline waves be disabled in P3Dv5 ?

Still hoping someone at LM will respond?
There must be a config file enters that enables these.

Again any help or even a “no it can’t be done” would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Can shoreline waves be disabled in P3Dv5 ?

I was wondering if the shore waves could be disabled in P3Dv5 ? I find them to be very unrealistic particularly around KSFO Bay Area. I set water effects to Ultra and like what I see with the new Wave Effects but really don’t want to see the shoreline white wave effects. I am very familiar with maki...

Re: P3D VR Fixed at 40FPS?

It’s because your system as well as anyone’s for that matter can’t maintain 80 fps for both lenses and therefore Oculus drops it to 40 the next logical multiple of 80. This is fine and works well. If you can’t maintain 40 in each lense it will drop to the next multiple ie divide by 3 which is approx...

Re: Can the VR "White Tracking Dot" be Turned Off

The white dot is actually a mouse cursor and if I move it out of sight it stays there pretty much.
Would it be possible to provide a toggle for this to appear and disappear in a future rev just like FlyInside does?

Re: Impossible to load the Aerosoft professional A320-321

I have no issues with P3Dv4.5 and the Aerosoft A320.
Perhaps you should post on the Aerosoft A320 Pro forum.

Can the VR "White Tracking Dot" be Turned Off

I'm currently running P3DV4.5 and wanted to disable the white dot seen in VR that tracks head movement. Is there a way to disable or toggle the white dot on and off? I find it very distracting to the VR experience. I never lock the mouse cursor to my head gaze and simply move the larger mouse cursor...
