Shadows from above without (visible) clouds
I experience often shadows on the aircraft (the whole aircraft becomes darker) when using weather, but I see only blue skies above the aircraft.
Can someone tell me what might be causing this?

Re: Issue with lines on cockpit window
That worked out, thank you - a good workaround.
I would however prefer LM to fix this issue.

After reading this thread here: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=129212&hilit=dynamic#p178329 And then reading this here: https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/13840-dynamic-lighting-and-legacy-lighting/ Specifically what Andrew Wilson wrote here: We have ado...

.NET Runtime and Application Error
Hello, I've encountered two application crashes today. What was weird about it, was that both Application errors were prefaulted by .NET Runtime exception. Application: Prepar3D.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: e...

Re: Best way to add sceneries, Add-ons or Scenery Library?
I have not run into this as a problem, I don't have an autogen.xml only the default.xml in that folder and I recall an addon providing instructions to add or modify several entries but I don't recall which I made a mistake. I meant default.xml. And it is being changed by some addons. I know of anot...

Re: Best way to add sceneries, Add-ons or Scenery Library?
Dan, what are you doing with addons that change/edit autogen.xml in the P3D\Autogen folder?

Re: XML-Method clarifications
Makes sense. As I understand it, it will first look in the add ons and THEN the default.

Re: XML-Method clarifications
Thanks both, so it's like it has ever been. And apparently layers from scenery.cfg and add-on.cfg correspond, as in, their layers work "together". But my questions pertain mainly to components. Let's take effects as an example. If addon\scenery\file requests an effect, will it first look i...

XML-Method clarifications
Hello LM, I'm trying to resolve some misunderstandings I have (me with myself). Is there somewhere a definitive explanation how the XML-System works when it comes to loading of textures/effects/scripts (basically "Components") in relation to XML-Path-Variable and how does it prioritize the...

Re: Help with long load times
Something is royally bad and totally off on that system. If we are talking SSDs and/or PCIE M.2s, and for now I'll assume we are, in a default configuration with no manual change to prepar3d.cfg, you should be looking at the 1-2 minute start up. You should check your system well, because I don't bel...

Re: Please allow LOAD_RADIUS>6.5
No. TSE specifically extends the texture loading radius. Just google it, there are numerous posts about it here. And it won't work if you have less than 8GB of VRAM. I have 1080TI, and I do see a difference between default 8 and 10.

Re: Please allow LOAD_RADIUS>6.5
What you want is TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=10. Goes under TERRAIN.
You will however need a GPU with 8GB+ VRAM.
