Re: Cessna trim wheel makes Prepar 3D v3 crash

Is this under Windows 10? If so, the issue is with Saitek/Windows 10 and not P3D. Even on the desktop, moving the trim wheel will cause windows to throw a strop and the mouse will cease to function correctly. You may also get odd sound issues. If the trim wheel is unplugged during boot and then plug...

Re: Can't toggle landing gear

I am using Prepar3D version 3 on a Windows 7 machine. I can get the landing gear to go up or down using the virtual cockpit, but not using the keyboard controls nor my Goflight hardware add-on. Is anyone else having this issue? Is this a known bug? Before FSUIPC was compatible (which I now use), th...

Re: P3D v3 - Persistent Yaw to right

You could also try just unplugging your joystick initially and using the default keyboard commands.

Re: P3D v3 - Persistent Yaw to right

I appreciate the time and effort that you are putting into this, OldAirMail. However, I have checked my settings, and I only have joystick axes/buttons assigned to the relevant controls. There are no other axis/button assignments for anything, anywhere. Just to be clear....when you say "delete...

Re: Mouse error

Are you using Windows 10?

There is a Saitek driver issue with the Saitek Trim Wheel that has exactly the same result, you could be having the same issue with the mouse pointer on the X52.

I think there may be a Saitek beta driver available, but for now I can just leave the trim wheel unplugged.

PMDG aircraft for P3D are not FSX aircraft. The tweak is aimed at general model/mesh optimisation and works great for most systems. I used to have low 20's in the VC before the tweak at airports and now usually get 29-30 which rises into the high 30s-40s when cruising. I haven't seen a downside yet ...

I cannot see how OPTIMIZE_PARTS would affect your general P3D settings. I have been using it for a while and all other settings stay put.

LM have already confirmed it is on-the-fly model/mesh optimisation with a possible issue on Windows 8. It is not specifically aimed at FSX aircraft.

Never thought of that. I'll try that also - a lot less hassle if it works.

Set your touch screen as the PRIMARY monitor, not necessarily number 1 but the primary. When you do this the desktop will shift to the touch screen. Unlock your taskbar and drag it to your normal desktop monitor along with your shortcuts etc. Lock the taskbar again. Now run P3D - it will probably op...

Solved - the touch screen must be the primary display, with the sim running on the secondary.

Hi,

Touch screen works fine on all other software even when P3D is running. It's just the P3D native panels where it does not work.
I have been advised to run the touch screen off a separate card (just as you are doing), so I am going to plug it into my onboard Intel VGA to see if...

Hi,

I use 3 screens for the outside view (nVidia surround) on one GTX Titan and two touch screen monitors on a GTX-680 for my panels. And they work fine in P3D 2.3 . No problem at all. I have Acer T231H and use the touchbase drivers (not cheap but really working well) with WIN 7-64. So ...

I am pretty sure this was also an issue in v2.0 and is related to Vector.
