I never had an OOM issue with P3D v1.4 or 2.0... Patched to 2.1, changed no settings, and now I OOM nearly every flight.

Found it. Also found in-app interface for Custom Cameras, which allows setting the independent FOV. Just need to create a saved camera first to access it. Thanks, Beau!

Not finding the help file... My camera definition file also has no "fov" references in it. Would appreciate pointing me a little closer in the right direction, Beau.

Thanks again, and I empathize with having a 5month old around. It gets easier!

The joystick / Win8 issue seems to be modulated by having the prepar3d application go into the background or lose focus. Behavior in 2.0 is no different than my v1.4 experience, as well.

I can fly for 4+ hours if I never leave P3D directly. However, clicking apps/windows outside of P3D ...

I seem to recall that Beau said something about independent Horiz/Vert field of view settings for cameras in V2.0.

I haven't been able to find that camera configuration anywhere. Did this feature not make the first version or am I just not looking in the right spot?

I'd lik...

Beau/Zach--

Thanks for the replies!! I think the FoV setting and "The Fullness" sound perfect. Should make easy 3-screen setups possible. I also think not having it be a true full-screen mode will allow other windows to be on top of the P3D window, which could have benefit for some of m...

I think I read the whole thread-- apologies if this has already been asked!

Will the new rendering engine/setup allow for support of cylindrical projection or horizontal field-of-view adjustments? With the proliferation of largescreen multimonitor setups in the industry, it would be nic...

The joystick never, ever loses communication with the base OS or driver. If I open up the calibration menu and set it to the side, it will always show buttons being pressed and axes moving. Always.

Prepar3d simply loses identification and connection with the joystick after another appli...

Not using keyboard as a USB bus... Straight into any of either the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard. As I mentioned in the original message, USB is configured as always on for all devices.

When P3D "loses" the joystick, it is still visible and usable by other applications run...

it could be drivers, low psu , mobo problems or even a bad connector. have u tried a different usb port, those g15 usb ports are useless (not enough power and bad connection)
also u might want to check your advanced power settings and check if your usb its always on.

i have...
