Re: Real World Weather?

It doesn't.

You need a 3th party tool.

Very good and probably most used is ASP3D from HiFi Weather Simulations. I use it and it is the best you can get for P3D.

HIGHLY recommend..

YoYo wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 9:35 pm Someone tested it in VR (P3Dv5.3 HT2), does it work ok?
Yes it works YoYo.
I use it in VR.

Are you on win10 or 11 YoYo? What about the smoothnes? Is VR totally smooth or have you stutters (red spikes and sometimes magenta spikes too)?

Re: EA on clouds loading in patches / popping in a 1 second rythm

Dear Beau, I have made a video, pls have a look. https://youtu.be/QFil9_jkCQQ As mentioned I have this since version 5, so its notveelated to 5.3 or the hotfixes. I have also active sky installed but this cloud loading what ever issue started already without installed active sky. In this video its ...

Re: P3D 5.3 HF2: stutters at ESGP

Not necessarily. LM default BGL AND some Addon BGL can both, independently, use big BGL data files which could cause this.

So even with a completely default P3D, zero addons, this stutter can appear.

Do you use HiFi ASP3D it's "maximum upper visibility" setting 199 or 200?

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

I updated client, ActiveSky and FSL A320 and made test flight from LFKC to LOWI. New ozone calculation works OK with HF2. There are probably 2 different "weather" phenomenon mixed here in this whole thread: Haze Fog And another one due the tweaked shader called ozon. It's the fog that is ...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

Thanks, Marcus. Unfortunately, I am not confident that the issue is not related to P3D. Did you try adding an overcast cloud layer (stratus) say from 200 ft to 3000 ft and then to slew above it in custom airports (please, try more than one)? Please do that and tell me, before I do all that work use...

Re: P3D 5.3 HF2: stutters at ESGP

If the stutters disappeared at EFHK and the scenario is fluid, I am left with the same problems as stutters on the ESGP default scenario. In particular, by making an external 360 ° pan of the plane on the runway 19 header, the stutters are more evident and prolonged. They disappear only if in P3D O...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

Hi Marcus, Yes, I have Envshade, but these objects show in vanilla P3D and with any shaders, it's an issue carried over since FSX times... I doubt this is an p3d issue. I myself have tested so many p3d beta builds and this issue was solved since 5.0 I cant recommend envshade. Because users often do...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

So HF2 does not even solve the issue of the objects visible through the clouds? That's quite a big issue, that fortunately is visible only in few circumstances, when clouds are low... Are these objects showing through clouds when you use default shaders? So, have or had you TOGA Envshade installed?...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

New Update of Prepar is out. https://www.prepar3d.com/news/announcements/2022/01/120955/ What about the Ocon Tweak here? Is it possible to use it there? :) As far as I know has LM nothing changed in the shaders of the hotfix 2. So you should be good to go and use it like provided. Be aware that bro...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

OK thanks. I would still like to remove the mod first. What is the best thing to do if I no longer have a backup file? Envshade causes jet black skies when used with this mod and EA on. Easy way to restore defaults is delete ShadersHLSL folder and do a repair of the client or uninstall Client and r...

Re: Lack of ozone contribution in EA sky

I believe this is an issue with ASP3D. I have this too but it will go away when closing down ASP3D. I'm on the latest version ( 8045 ) I have informed both parties. LM and HiFi. Normally HiFi ASP3D is not responsible for shader colors (Fog for instance). They are only injecting weather, based on da...
