Re: Invisible Object during Flare
I have just tried this again with the qualitywings 787 and it also collides with the wall so its not just a PMDG bug. It would seem that default p3d aircraft arent affected though which is strange. I would like to test the FSLABS a320 but i cant atm since it isnt yet compatible the newest p3d hotfi...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
@increasrvs, "Interesting. It would certainly appear that 737 and smaller aircraft are not affected. " Have you tested various aircraft? The F-22 has no issue, even flying 3/4 PAPIs. I have not tried any GA aircraft however. The only payware aircraft I have for P3D is the 747. --- The 747...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
As a further quick test: Single engine prop at low altitude during the KSFO 28L approach and no problems with the approach (no wall problem) or landing. (Images Pruned) Interesting. It would certainly appear that 737 and smaller aircraft are not affected. Also, I googled a picture for the (real) SF...

PMDG747-8-KSFO-ILS28L-Gear-up-no-wall-smooth-landing-called-an-emergency-need-runway-foamed LANDIII Autoland Had to use the 28 for emergency .. AI's are departing on the 1's (last couple screenshots). Flare [check the nose up pitch] and rollout looked, ok ?. Radio altimeter = 0 [good RA calibration...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
I wonder, in addition to no problems with the AI traffic and my PMDG737 (autoland) KSFO ILS28L if: Pilots flying On-line or MultiPlayer have the wall problem at all airports with an elevation dip on approach? Im afraid I dont quite understand what you mean. I myself always fly online via Vatsim but...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
I did two tests at KSFO ILS 28L. I wanted to see what happens on my current P3Dv4.5 setup. One test with the PMDG747 (I am learning it now). One test with the PMDG737-600. I did an autoland with each. The PMDG747 hit the "wall" [notice the VASI], did not flare (PFD) and it was a hard land...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
C130 28L approach test P3Dv4.5 https://youtu.be/7h4EdfeMJ9Q Judging by that coastline you are using a terrain mesh res of >10m which as mentioned before is the only way to avoid this bug so far so your result is not surprising. also you're above the glideslope (3 white 1 red) which also helps. I ca...

C130 28L approach test P3Dv4.5 https://youtu.be/7h4EdfeMJ9Q Hello Sir, I appreciate your troubling shooting steps and the time you took to make your video. Upon close inspection of your scenery, it appears that you are using a lower (higher numerically) mesh resolution. In my currently scenery, P3D...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
Are you using P3Dv4.5 ? Maybe do a short video of your approach / problem in the PMDG747 and default P3D aircraft. Apologies! I do not have an actual video for you. I wrongly thought that P3D would record an MP4 but instead it recorded the flight data. I can confirm with you however that my approac...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
Hello, Thanks for your reply! I looked at your video and your seawall looks a little bit different than mine. I haven't tried it with GA or jets, I'll do so when I get P3D open again. I put all my terrain sliders to the right when I am flying as they make minor performance impacts for me. I was read...

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
Hello Martyson,
Solely user error :) I was trying to crack a joke.
Have you found purchasing FSG Mesh to fix it? I'm willing to pay big bucks to fix this issue for all airports and for good....
Thanks!

Re: Invisible Object during Flare
Has any further progress been made with this issue? I am having the same problem with the PMDG 747 at Sangster Intl (Montego Bay) by RWY26, which has a similar near sea level threshold. Very frustrating to have a final approach completely screwed after 10 hours of flying! Not really, although I did...
