Re: P3D v6 - Shadows in mountainous areas
I found a workaround:
my 'Shadow quality' slider was set to Ultra, which activated all shadow types. Setting it to Medium removed the 'terrain casts shadows' type.

Re: P3D v6 - Shadows in mountainous areas
Oh, I forgot to mention: I'm using version 6 with ORBX scenery (Base + OpenLCs), and I installed it following the steps in this post: https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/218798-prepar3d-v60-features-and-enhancements/?do=findComment&comment=1839519 Out of curiosity, is anybody else experiencing th...

P3D v6 - Shadows in mountainous areas
First of all, thank you, LM, for this beautiful version 6! I wanted to report a bug regarding the shadows: When flying between mountains during the early morning hours and adjusting the view (Shift+O), the shadows of the mountains seem to appear or disappear based on the direction you're looking. In...

Re: Why is the 'missing haze' bug in v5.3 still not fixed for non-EA?
Hello Sky King, I don't agree: Now, the P3D users need to modify a part of the ShadersHLSL\FuncLibrary.fxh file themselves to get P3D to work properly in non-EA mode. Such a small fix should be included in the 'final' version 5. One can't consider version 5 to be 'final' before including all the av...

Why is the 'missing haze' bug in v5.3 still not fixed for non-EA?
Hi, I have a question to LM: When the last version 5.3 was issued, there was a bad bug (missing haze in non-EA mode). Some fix was provided in https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=143957&start=45 , but that requires editing code, which is not really suitable for all users. A...

Re: P3D V5.3 Missing Horizon/Atmo Haze
OK:
Now I completely removed P3D (also the folders in %appdata% and so on) and did a clean install of the Updated Hotfix.
The haze is back, so it works as expected now.

Re: P3D V5.3 Missing Horizon/Atmo Haze
Hi, I just installed the Hotfix Update 5.3.15.28131 (client + scenery) and ran 'Delete generated files'. But it looks like the haze problem isn't properly fixed yet: flying with clear sky, mountains at a distance keeps growing or shrinking like before... I tried to solve that by re-using the fix to ...

These screenshots are made with EA turned ON. The bug doesn't occur in that case.

Re: P3D V5.3 Missing Horizon/Atmo Haze
Hi Beau, I'm at work now, so I can't provide new screenshots, but in this thread I already provided two screenshots in clear weather for comparison: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=143894 This illustrates one aspect of the "haze problem": * when EA is turned OFF, ...
