Re: Which platform is better for Prepar3d

The suggestion is to go with the i5, because it can be overclocked to 5 GHz.

Raw CPU power, as measured by the clock rate, is what you need, rather than the number of cores. Besides, Intel CPUs are more efficient in executing instructions per clock cycle than the AMD CPUs.

Re: How to eliminate native airline traffic while keeping GA traffic without using the slider

If you find some for FS9, then you can use AIFP to convert them to FSX format. That format is used in P3D, all versions.

Re: How to eliminate native airline traffic while keeping GA traffic without using the slider

There's plenty of GA add-on AI traffic out there that you can use instead of the default GA traffic.

I cannot see how it would be possible to disable the default airline AI traffic and keep the GA AI traffic.

Re: Which platform is better for Prepar3d

Dan, very good points here.

And I absolutely concur on the ASUS motherboards. Easy-to-update BIOS, and easy to overclock.

Re: p3D V4.5 and new update Airbus A318-321 of aersoft

Manfred, Get the DirectX Redistributables from Microsoft and install them. Then run Windows Update, and make sure that under "Advanced Options" the switch "Receive updates for other Microsoft products" is set to ON. Run the update until no more updates are available. Finally, update the nVidia drive...

Re: Which platform is better for Prepar3d

Personal opinion: go with the Intel. If there is a "K" version of this chip, then get that, so you can overclock in the future.

Re: Ntdl.dll error

I seem to remember from some time ago, that FSLabs has issues with versions of the nVidia drivers, in fact they (again if my memory is correct) they said that one should use one particular version of the driver.

Vaughan, is my memory correct here, or am I imagining something?

Re: .net framework error

You need to get everything about the .NET Framework, not just v. 4.0, and install all of it. When you have finished installing all that, reboot. Now run Windows Update, and when you run that, make sure that under "Advanced options" the toggle switch named "Receive updates for other Microsoft product...

Re: Rudder problem

My joystick worked right out of the box, as I said. However, since then I have installed the drivers for it from the Thrustmaster site, and also FSUIPC 5 (mine is the paid version, you could try the free version for now).
