Re: Prepar3D v5 VR mode
+1. Lack of VR controller support is the reason v4.5 no longer is installed on my machine. See X-plane for "full" VR support. So yeah, no controller support = no v5 for me either.

Re: Prepar3D v5 VR mode
Are controls manipulable using hand controllers or do we still need external hardware?

Re: VR Controllers in 4.5
Thanks Kayla
My advice would be simple. Make this a serious platform for VR by having usable VR controls.

Re: VR Controllers in 4.5
OK thanks - the answer I guess here is no. Using VR controllers as "hands" is much more suitable so for now p3d will remain uninstalled on my machine. Currently within x-plane you can use controllers to manipulate yokes, switches, engine controls etc to facilitate muscle memory when rememb...

VR Controllers in 4.5
Can I just find out if VR controllers are usable in 4.5? I notice in the changelog that there are some vr enhancements, but they are pretty generic sounding.

Re: VR controllers in p3d
It appears native VR in p3d doesn't support VR controllers, and flyinside doesn't really deliver on the yoke and levers either, leaving you having to use external devices to control the aircraft. While this might be OK for some, for me it is neither physically possible due to the vr space I have, no...

Re: VR Feature Requests
+1 for touch controllers though. I do like using touch controllers over a yoke, I find it much more gratifying. X-plane is the only one that allows this properly yet.

Re: Autogen loading: still no solution??
I love how these threads develop, this has been a real popcorn thread. The problem exists, it is well documented, and enough people are shouting about it to make it an inescapable fact. And yet people insist on arguing whether it exists at all because it doesn't happen to them. Human nature I guess...

VR controllers in p3d
I'm now running on VR and have tried to get p3d to work with VR to no success. I cannot get the VR controllers to display in VR much less get them to operate levers/yoke/switches etc. I have also been using flyinside to try and resolve this issue, but whilst I can get the controllers to operate, I f...

Re: Stuttering Prepar3D
I've never flown with time acceleration on - not my bag - but a lot of add-ons do state in their manuals never to use acceleration over 4x. That may be the issue?

Re: Stuttering Prepar3D
There are any number of things that could be happening. Are you always started up using a "saved" flight. If so, this may be the issue. You should always, where possible, start with a fresh flight from the scenario screen rather than a saved flight. Try a freash scenario if you are using s...

With such a catastrophic problem I would suggest that you deleted all the generated files and started over.

Re: Stuttering Prepar3D
Its hard to offer you some help here, as you have given no information about what addons you are using with P3D other than PMDG and aerosoft. There are any number of combinations of add-ons that can cause stuttering - for example many people find using UK2000 scenery alongside Orbx results in stutte...

Re: V4.3 Black Screen on start of flight
Out of interest, how long are you waiting before deciding that p3d has gone wrong? My shaders took a long time to rebuild, so it might be worth waiting a while to see if you eventually load in...

Re: Turboprop slow propeller reaction
Turboprops are not well modelled in p3d I am afraid, and it is a known issue. Various 3rd party developers (pay and free) have tried using advanced modelling to more accurately reflect how they work in RL, but results do vary enormously.
