Re: Newb question: F35 is an FPS killer?

yes, because of multi fonction display. If you want to fly it in VR with best fps, with no interest in all mfd's function, click on "icaws" (up on mfd, warning system), and click on the arrows on mfd to close all down windows and keep only 2 main windows that you stretch left / right with ...

Re: Stock i9 9900k Low Fps issue

You can try to disable hyperthreading in bios - to me it's night and day but I don't use many addons so maybe it won't help you.

Re: Wish for adding a control command

Sorry don't take care of this. A simple button on oculus remote do that very well.

Wish for adding a control command

Hi! I'd like to ask a new control command to be created : the action would be "disable VR" and could be mapped to a button. Actually Oculus home, when launched, gives a direct option to render a Virtual Desktop, allowing to launch P3D and do all the setting stuff directly in VR. Then, when...

Re: Oculus Rift Causing Severe Stuttering

Hi! You have very bad fps with your settings - guiving bad / stuttery experience in VR. Sim objects (your plane, traffic, the world's objects and autogen objects, weather) put a very higher load on the first cpu core (main rendering thread) in VR compared to a screen (in P3D). If you have a hyperthr...

Re: gpu load low with GTX1080Ti

With the settings I use, no (with VR, I only use buildings autogen, and no vegetation autogen, with photoreal textures, and building coverage doesn't change between utf-16/utf-8). But in fact there are visual differences with max settings : I tried on 1080p screen in default scenario, and in La Guar...

Re: gpu load low with GTX1080Ti

Ankh you just have to change 16 into 8 on first line ("utf-16" -> "utf-8"). Simple to test or revert back. It's an old trick from fsx times. With default autogen scenery there is no visual difference imo - but much much faster rendering. I Don't know if there are cases (addon aut...

Re: gpu load low with GTX1080Ti

Like downscc said on his post : HT off (that way "core 0" aka "main rendering thread" gets the capacity of a full core to work). The more limiting factor is core 0. Give it room (ht off) and speed (Oc…) You also have the option (I use it) of easing autogen rendering by changing u...

Re: VR Black Screen

AsonNWoods yes for me it's like this since last oculus update. It's not really a problem because when P3D VR kicks in, the oculus home disappear so there is no 2 rendering (P3D + home) at the same time. Before the oculus update I was setting "home" not to launch with any VR apps (by tickin...

Re: VR Black Screen

AsonNWoods you have now to launch oculus home and seeing it in the rift before launching P3D's VR mode.

Re: Force feedback Feature on MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 On P3D V4 not working

I use a sidewinder force feedback 2 and it works with direct input like Clifton Crane said. Note that if you use two force feedback devices P3d will only allow forces to the first one listed. The way forces are applied now is a bit weird : forces are delayed (when forces increase or decrease, relate...

Re: P3Dv4.2 VR Single Pass Rendering Mode Issue

Only with single pass VR : What autogen building off solves is flickering house roofs on airports like KSEA (when moving head on some angles). But the big boats flickering are still here. Moving waves are mostly visible with left eye (right eye there are 1 or 2 visible only). White sprites/pixels on...
