Re: not possible to cross bridges in any scenery in v5.1

Hello,

Thanks for the reports. We've opened a ticket to investigate the issue.

Could you try adding the following to the [SIM] section of your Prepar3D.cfg and report any findings:

Code: Select all

DisableHighResolutionContactReaction=True

Re: FCS Targeting and DIS entities

Hi MicMac44, The gauges.h query_pdk function is intended to be used by C-Gauges to gain access to the PDK. I created the callbacks to receive DIS packets and read their appropriate IDs in order to grab the P3D objectID, but I am trying to connect 2 simulations together so my current plugin does not ...

Re: FCS Targeting and DIS entities

Hi MicMac44, I believe calling PdkServices::Init outside of DLLStart will work as long as you have a valid IPdk pointer to provide it. PdkServices is essentially a wrapper class that queries and provides getters for the various PDK services. As long as the IPdk pointer is valid I think it should wor...

Re: FCS Targeting and DIS entities

Hi MicMac44, The entities created by DIS are SimObjects, so you should be able to access their simulation variables through SimConnect. At the moment, we do not have DIS specific simulation variables, such as site, application, or DIS entity ID. You would still need to use the PDK to get these DIS s...

Re: Add-on Missile is invisible on the other client view.

Hi stella47, Thank you for the reply. I would expect the AttachWeaponToObject SimConnect function to broadcast across multiplayer. This function essentially adds the weapon to the object's loadout. The loadouts should then be serialized across multiplayer when players join (or as weapons are attache...

Re: P3Dv5.1 Special effect

Hi Michel,

Have you tried increasing your Falloff Exponent value? This should reduce the distance that the light will draw.

Re: Add-on Missile is invisible on the other client view.

Hi stella47, This appears to be a limitation between the attached objects and multiplayer. Attached objects do not currently serialize updates between clients. This explains why clients cannot see attached objects between each other. Host attached objects are probably treated differently, allowing o...

Re: 5.1 CTD after short flight time.

Hello, We believe we have identified the cause of the crash and will have a fix in the next release. As a workaround, you can try adding the following entry to the [SIM] section of the Prepar3D.cfg to prevent the crash: [SIM] AdaptiveSimGroupEnable=False Note: There should only be one [SIM] section ...

Re: Invisible land

Hi wparry,

It looks like you are running an older version of Prepar3D v5. The version of HF2 is 5.0.31.35253. You may want to consider updating the Client installer or doing a complete reinstall using the latest HF2 installers.

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef, This appears to be the current behavior of the ControllableCamera. The ControllableCamera uses callbacks from the Window associated with the Camera to update the target location. These callbacks are only called when the ControllableCamera Window is open. There could be target information...

Hi wparry,

Can you verify which version of Prepar3D you are running via the Help > About Lockheed Martin Prepar3D screen?

Thank you,

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef,

Which callback are you using the render your line? The CustomPDKObjects sample uses the OnCustomRender callback provided by the PdkPlugin base class. This callback is called once per rendered view, allowing the plugin to render into all open views.

Thanks,
Clifton

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef, The "Laser" SimObject can be attached to an object in the same way as a Weapon SimObject using the Attachments.xml. As an example, the "LCS-1 USS Freedom" Boat SimObject has a loadout with a laser attached. The laser can be activated using the weapons system's fire ke...
