Re: Invisible land

Hi wparry,

It looks like you are running an older version of Prepar3D v5. The version of HF2 is 5.0.31.35253. You may want to consider updating the Client installer or doing a complete reinstall using the latest HF2 installers.

Clifton

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef, This appears to be the current behavior of the ControllableCamera. The ControllableCamera uses callbacks from the Window associated with the Camera to update the target location. These callbacks are only called when the ControllableCamera Window is open. There could be target information...

Re: Invisible land

Hi wparry,

Can you verify which version of Prepar3D you are running via the Help > About Lockheed Martin Prepar3D screen?

Thank you,
Clifton

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef,

Which callback are you using the render your line? The CustomPDKObjects sample uses the OnCustomRender callback provided by the PdkPlugin base class. This callback is called once per rendered view, allowing the plugin to render into all open views.

Thanks,
Clifton

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef, The "Laser" SimObject can be attached to an object in the same way as a Weapon SimObject using the Attachments.xml. As an example, the "LCS-1 USS Freedom" Boat SimObject has a loadout with a laser attached. The laser can be activated using the weapons system's fire key events. When the l...

Re: Beginner - How to create default toggle animations

Hi iko, If you wanted to create a new animation I would first add a new <Animation /> element with unique "name" and "GUID". You will also want to make sure that "typeparam2" matches the "name" attribute. Then you would also create new <PartInfo> section with a name that matches the new <Animation /...

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi Tauseef,

The IObjectRendererV500 service allows plugins to draw primitive shapes. The Prepar3D SDK has the CustomPDKObjects sample that shows how it can be used.

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi tauseefAhmed, See answers below. Its important to note that only the AvatarSim currently implements the IDesignatorService (see Army Infantry avatar SimObject). The "Night Vision Goggles" camera has a Scaleform overlay that should allow the designator to be toggled on and off. This camera view wi...

Re: Beginner - How to create default toggle animations

Hi iko, You'll want to add the <Units>percent</Units> property back. This will return the wing fold in the range 0-100, which will match your animation key frames. By default, that simulation variable would return "percent over 100", which would return the value in the range 0.0 to 1.0, which wouldn...

Re: Beginner - How to create default toggle animations

Hi iko, "WING FOLD" is not a valid simulation variable. You may want to try the following in your <Variable> tag: FOLDING WING LEFT PERCENT:1 FOLDING WING RIGHT PERCENT:1 Also, the aircraft that you are testing with will likely need to have folding wings configured in the aircraft.cfg in order to tr...

Re: Running unlicenced Pro. Version on network.

Hi Rob,

Is this a default Prepar3D installation? Do you have any AI add-ons installed?

Thanks,
Clifton

Re: Running unlicenced Pro. Version on network.

Hi Rob1957, I think the path to the HOST.cfg file is slightly off. If the HOST.cfg file is located in the Prepar3D root directory, the command should look like this: "C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.exe" /MULTICHANNEL:"C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\HOST.CFG" Rega...

Re: Running unlicenced Pro. Version on network.

Hi Rob1957,

Can you verify the location of the configuration files match the command arguments you are passing into the Prepar3D.exe? The path in your post is missing the backslash after C: and also contains an additional space.

Clifton

Re: Unable to find some Variables in documentation

Hi tauseefAhmed, The "HOTAS" events are generic key events that can be used to process arbitrary input by a plugin. The "HOTAS" events can be set through the Controls UI. These are not currently documented in the Learning Center, however the full list is available in the gauges.h C++ header. The Tog...

Re: Wrong aircraft appears on Prepar3D in DIS network

Hi sunilhalvi, Prepar3D includes DIS enumerations for most default objects, however you will need to add DIS enumerations for add-on objects. This can be done by editing the DISEntityTypes.xml file. This file can be located within the %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 directory. The Learning...
