Re: Sun above the horizon and stars still visible!

Ray this is not as unreal as you think. An aircraft at flight levels, or even at VFR heights, is going to see the sun long before the terrain below does. There is also a twilight period at sun rise/set where some of the sun light and some starts coexist; however, by the time you can see the entire ...

Sun above the horizon and stars still visible!

P3D v4.5 HF2. For the first time in a while I started a flight before dawn. Flying east from LAX to Phoenix at 13:40UT on 22 Oct the sun is now right above the horizon but loads of stars are still visible and the land is barely illuminated. With all due respect to the chaps who have done wonderful ...

Re: P3Dv4 runs with pauses at 2 to 3 sec frequency

I doubt it's Cortana. Those rapid pauses are something else taking processing time away from P3D. But until Bram comes back with more info we can't really help further.

Re: P3Dv4 runs with pauses at 2 to 3 sec frequency

@smx55, with respect you only have to type "disable cortana" into Google to find how to do it.

Re: P3Dv4 runs with pauses at 2 to 3 sec frequency

Those brief pauses are far too often for them to be related to Autosave. It's as if P3D is fighting for resources with something else. To eliminate settings being too high in P3D reduce all scenery sliders to near zero. Repeat the test and see if it makes a difference. Details of the graphics card r...

Re: P3Dv4 runs with pauses at 2 to 3 sec frequency

Hi Bram, that's not necessarily bad news. You have eliminated elements of P3D that can cause pauses. The other known cause of pauses is FSUIPC AutoSave especially with complex 3rd party aircraft. If these pauses are occuring at specific intervals then that could be the reason. Check the Autosave int...

Re: P3Dv4 runs with pauses at 2 to 3 sec frequency

Bram, If you have road traffic set at even low levels that will cause pauses when flying over cities. Mine was set to 7% but every 7 secs or so there was a pause when flying over London. Changed it to 0 and problem went away.

Re: P3D v4.5 HF2 and Ai behaviour

I resolved this problem by editing the AFD and removing an exit off the runway as it should not have been there. Ai exit from the first exit point. The first one now is further down on the right meaning landing Ai now exit at the correct point.

P3D v4.5 HF2 and Ai behaviour

I've installed the latest hotfix (many thanks!) and with AIG Ai package running just managed to grab this screenshot of an Ai on takeoff 2 and another taxiing in after landing. I thought P3D logic would prevent one aircraft taxiing when another was taking off? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/i5h...

Re: P3D v3.4 - Sounds being changed randomly

I uninstalled the Client and then reinstalled it. Still no joy. The Environment slider will drop from 100% to 9%. Why? I can usually sort out most problems but this has me beat.

P3D v3.4 - Sounds being changed randomly

I still use P3D v3.4 for FS Labs Concorde. I have a problem with the sound sliders in P3D that only seem to be a problem when this aircraft is selected. Default aircraft are fine. The three sliders for Engines, Cockpit and Environment will randomly change during flight. Engines may drop to 3% when I...

Re: When will bugs in the original ESP code be fixed?

Don't confuse "bug" with "functioning as designed". Just because the AI wasn't programmed to mimic real life operation at all airports doesn't mean it's a bug. If anything, it's a "feature request". Whether it's by design or accident it is what it is but causes all sorts of problems because a fligh...

They do indeed read all the messages, because: 1. It is their job, and 2. They are also moderators, responsible for removing "inappropriate messages". I do not know if hell exists, but snowballs and tech support does. And another part of the tech support job (which sometimes is the job from hell) i...

Re: When will bugs in the original ESP code be fixed?

Thanks Jorgan. That's a definite is it? They do read all messages? So what will happen first? A snowball appearing in hell or these long-standing bugs being fixed?

L-M have done wonders for the visual side of things plus CPU/GPU workload but these bugs do take the shine off the product.
