Window resizing causes crash

Post by lderoo »

Hi,

I am having issues when resizing my P3D window. After starting up I try to resize the window. It immediately causes a crash to desktop.

I've updated to the latest Nvidia graphics drivers.

P3D Version: Prepar3D Pro Plus V6.1.11
OS: Windows 11
Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5955WX 16-cores 4.00 GHz
RAM: 128 GB
Graphics: NVidia RTX A6000

Hello Ideroo,

Can you get the error information from Windows Event Viewer at the time of such a crash?

This is not what I asked for.

Try this: note down the approximate time of a crash. Then right-click on your Windows Start button and select Event Viewer. In Event Viewer, click on the little arrow next to "Windows Logs", then click on "Application". In the topo center pane you will now see a number of events, most of them titled "Information", with time-stamps on them. Scroll down these events until you come to the time you noted down, then there should be one or two events titled "Error". Click on those in turn, and the error information will show up in the bottom center pane. Copy that error information and post in a message here.

This sounds more difficult than it really is! But it provides the error information we need.

That is exactly what I did. I used the “copy” button on the error log.

Very odd. There should be something called an "Exception code" in there...
