Intermittent pauses during flight-P3Dv5

Post by vegasjon777 »

Hi LM!

I am getting pauses every 1 second on long flights. I usually use PMDG aircraft and it doesnt start doing it until 2-3 hours into a long flight. It doesnt seem to matter the terrain as it happens over water. I've tried lowering graphic settings, traffic, etc..I have ORBX LC and other areas installed. I have tried closing AS12, various ACARS clients on and off, checked FSUIPC settings for autosave and turned all that off. My system is awesome and doesnt seem to be having any performance issues either-
Utilization seen:
CPU is ~15%
RAM is ~30%
M.2 SSD- 5%

System Specs:
Windows 10 Pro ver 20H2
Intel 1oth Gen i9 10900k 3.7GHz
32 GB DDR4 3600ms
NVIDIA 2080 Super 8GB VRAM
Running at 3840x2160

System and GPU are at most recent driver versions.

Do you have any other suggestions short of a reinstall? Thank you for any assistance you can provide...

If you use navigraph for charts, uninstall simlink, redownload it, reboot and retry. Less than a week I had the same issue twice in a row. I reinstalled a new version of simlink and it has not happened anymore.

I almost have the same specs as you. I have the i9 9900k but same ram and gpu.

Overclock your CPU, at least to over 4 GHz, preferably to over 4.5 GHz.
