What is it fair to expect of this rig playing P3Dv4

Postby Neil Gardner » Thu Jun 14, 2018 7:51 pm

Dear all
I’m a little confused. Elsewhere on the forum I’ve already discussed a somewhat disappointing performance with my new rig. But perhaps I expect too much, so I ask the question: If I’m using ORBX, flying out of Gatwick in a PMDG 737, what setting would you think you would have to limit yourself too with the following rig:

Asus PRIME X299-A Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB Graphics Card
32GB DDR4 2400MHz Memory (2 x 16GB Sticks)
Seagate 3TB BarraCuda 7200RPM Hard Disk
Intel Core i9-7900X CPU, 10 Cores, 3.3 - 4.3GHz
Corsair Hydro H100x CPU Cooler
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold 850W PSU
24x DVD-RW Drive
1TB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive

It was my retirement present to myself so I’d be most grateful to hear what you think I should expect. Thanks. Neil

I would try the Avsim hardware forum for some more responses. There are some very knowledgeable people there who helped me a lot in deciding with my new build a few years ago.
